Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Tabac in a tube as Pre shave, still going strong
Soap / Cream = Sterling Black Cherry, still going strong
Brush = Omega 10049
Bowl = The Goodfellas’ Smile Shaving Bowl. Not sure the “brush rest” works that well, but the bowl is grippy, deep enough and nice and wide
Razor = ’47 Aristocrat
Blade = Minora day 3
Passes = 2+
Post = Usual followed by PR sandalwood and shea
Scent = Bulgari
Damage = none, slight burn right lower chin, time to take a break from daily shaving?

Score = 9 +
Comments = Pushing it a bit on Day 3 with this blade. Still performed well but I don’t have much success on Day 3 with most blades I have tried. Felt a bit rough despite the excellent lather and same setup. So I stopped short of that perfect shave and binned the blade, but overall still a great shave. Maybe the older blades, i.e. post day 3 could be relegated to “back of the neck duties”? Nah, seems like too much hassle

 

Nah, only been wet shaving 12 M and it says 24 M right there on the tube Anyway it was only around 10 AUD so no sweat, will I be replacing it? No, enuff-stuff for now!

Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Lider Turkish Boar.
Face Lather.
Lather: Derby Shave Stick.
Blade: Supermax Blue Diamond. (D2)
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Premium TTO.

Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Gummy Traditional Turkish Lavender Cologne. /Arko Fresh ASB.

It's embarassing to say my final Throwback Thursday shave in 2023 was a stinker, but if I said it was better, I'd be a liar. Nice job on the cheeks&sideburns, but all went downhill from there. A Knick at North Porcupine, three on South.. I just went to the mirror and saw something I was unaware of at first-3 cuts on the left side of Cactus Nation(neck). The cold-water rinse must have saved me in the end from any pain. I really must go softer with the razor. Maybe I didn't get enough soap on my face and neck, too. Let's fae it, outside of the cheeks&sideburns, I blew it today. The Clubman aftershave made me feel A LITTLE better, but I know what I have to for tomorrow.
The grade comment? AVERAGE, Shux.

It was time to do head and face shave this morning. I decided to do something different and use the VdH Shea Butter as a preshave. Normally, my preshaves consist of using bloom water or just flat out unadulterated water. Also, I want to Fitzgerald the Shea Butter because it's been in my vanity draw for a very long time and I am tired of looking at it. Lol!
I like using the Rockwell 6C for my headshsves so it got the call. VdH soap has always given me a good, slick lather.
3 passes from the top of the dome and through the face and down the neck gave me an error-free BBS result. Had some alum feedback on the neck at that was all.
The witch hazel was applied and followed with the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. I am happy with this shave. Take care.
