    Thanks, Joe. I was relieved to see the nick last time was some sort of anomaly and not going to be a regular habit.

    Sounds interesting. Of course, I already have four TOBS shave creams (Avocado, Lavender, Royal Forest and Mr. Taylor) that are rapidly turning into croap on my shelves, so I probably don't need to add a fifth...

    Thanks, Gary. The "scentless" Key Lime is actually starting to have a faint scent again as I moisten it and gradually advance the stick in the holder.

    Great shave, report and pic, Barry!

    I notice you seem to have quite successful and enjoyable shaves with basic commercial drugstore shave products. Just proves that you don't need $300 artisan badger-hair brushes, $400 gold-plated razors, and $100 artisan shave soaps and matching balms or splashes to remove whiskers painlessly. (Although those can all be nice to play with...)

    Thank you John...The vast majority of my shave set ups are inexpensive which provide me with close comfortable acceptable shaves. And I agree you don't need artisan shaving products to get good shaves it's all down to Technique & shaving confidence...However, it's down to individual's choice what they want to buy & use...I'm not a brand snob, I find it pretentious superficial & pointless..As always choice & opinions are subjective.

    Popping in again for a bit...

    2 Days growth

    Usual Prep and Preshave = T&H No 10
    Cream/Soap = RasoZero, a generous freebie that come with my last order
    Brush = Semogue C3 boar, staring to wear in nicely, doesn’t load as much as a larger boar, but easy enough to load more
    Bowl = White plastic
    Razor = Gillette Aristocrat 1947~
    Blade = Gillette Vintage made in Australia (5)
    Passes = 2 +++
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = Fine Latigo
    Scent = Jo Malone Velvet Rose and Oud cologne intense
    Score = 9.9 / 10
    Damage = none

    (Been using this Aristocrat for the last few days, with Derby blades, Fine soaps and generally having fun.)

    A lovely razor as can be expected from this brand and vintage. Easy ATG, easy buffing even with water

    The RasoZero has a delightful berry, liquorice/anise scent. Doesn’t need much water. Happy!

    Have a lovely Thursday one and all

    DE Shave # 567 - DEcember Shave - PAA Prismatic

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: PAA Prismatic
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Shore Shave Player 26 mm
    Lather: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Aftershave: Sailor Jerry Spiced Navy
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Another wonderful prismatic shave this morning. The boar brush easily whipped up a nice slick lather sufficient enough for three passes. The Prismatic razor continues to sing as it removes my daily growth.

    The post shave alum report was nonexistent. The sailor Jerry aftershave is a nice finish to the shave as a pair as well with the bay room soap. I wholeheartedly encourage those of you gentlemen that do not have the Sailor Jerry aftershave to consider picking it up in the new year.

    Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

    Well, on any Throwback Thursday I'd always like to do a top-grade shave. Didn't happen this morning, but I'll take it. Two cuts down at Cactus Nation, but they were neutralized by th cold-water rinse and A.S. Very well-done everywhere else. About 0:40 at the Loading Dock with the big Stoylin brush working with the Stoylin soap.Clean and clear at the cheeks&sideburns. I had to do a second trial at the jawline, but got it. Good close from rhe Agadir A.S. Fairly Outstanding.
