Thanks Joe! I normally use a mild blade with the shavettes so, we shall see if I turn the soap red by using a Professional blade! LOL

Slow and easy with a light touch.

Terrific setup Hogie. It's been awhile since you used a shavette kami so take it slow.

Yep! I do like how this one shaves when I use it. I decided to step up my game and use a Professional blade with only one shave on it. I use these blades for a minimum of 9 shaves. They stay sharp longer than other blades and justify being careful due to the sharpness. I seem to do better with the Kami than with the DX.

    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave #438
    Dovo
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (7th use)
    JR # 290 Cashmere Brush
    Stirling Bergamot Lavender SS
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23.5 hrs

    20230219_155151.jpg

Bloomed the soap and the JR #290 brush produced a voluminous, slick lather. The Bergamot Lavender scent is quite pleasant. However, it's not in my top 5 Stirling scents.
Did a 2.5 pass shave for an error-free BBS shave. The alum feedback was minimal on my neck. Splashed on the old man AV Ice Blue aftershave to finish this A+ session. Take care.

Excellent shave Joe. I am going to have to bust out my BL soap when I return north.

Thanks Joe. I will be finishing this sample of Bergamot Lavender within the next couple of shaves. My goal is to finish the rest of my 3 Stirling samples of Executive Man, Intrepid Man and Triumph by the end of Spring.

Slant bar razors are such comfortable efficient razors. Nivea is my favourite post shave. Superb stuff!

    SE Shave # 311

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Shick - Injector Type J
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Lather: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Aftershave: WTF Vintage Barbershop
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Duplicate software shave with assistance from the Schick Type J instead of the straight this morning. Everything about this shave was just as good as yesterday’s shave. Super close and comfortable with a great post shave result.

Going to be another warm one here in the mid 80s. Joe, @Trigger, this is the best. Hope you all have a great day.

Marvelous Monday shave Joe. I can't complain about this year's winter. In fact, the ten day forecast predicts that there will be no measurable snow fall. Enjoy your warm weather.

The shave was actually pretty good. I did get a couple of cuts on my upper lip. It is harder to shave there with the kami. I also have a hard time getting close on my neck/jawline with it. It is hard to get the angle and direction I need to get as close as with my other razors. Still not bad tho.

First time with the Professional blade in the kami so, all is good.

I have never shaved with a kami. I usually don't do a South to North pass (Fool's Pass) on my stache area. I generally, go North and South, East to West and Northwest to Southeast and that covers it for me. The neck is difficult because the hairs go in different directions. I can get it very smooth, but honestly, it's not s.oith as Ice close. Getting under the chin/neck area going east to west ith stright is difficult because you n poke yourself with the toe. Unfortunately, it's awkward to backhand the stroke with the toe away from the neck. I just hit that portion of the neck with the face of the blade on an oblique angle relative to the center of the neck to get very close.

I am really trying to use up this soap so I basically drenched it. Lol! Used the froth method so that the first lather was thin and transparent, but slick. Subsequent lathers were much better. Did a three pass shave with a neck pickup for a BBS shave. Despite a weep, I consider this the best shave with my RedTip. The alum gave me more than slight feedback on my neck. I expected it because I really had to go over areas in diverse directions to be super smooth. Splashed on the P/C Classic aftershave and feel real good about this session. Take care.
