    Another great shave Joe, you have inspired me to get back to trying some face lathering. Cool aqua velva blue.

    Great results Paul, no damage done, excellent. I will take a few misses over some damage anytime. No point in trying to get too close.

    Thanks Gary

    Fine Green and Gold setup Gary. No harm in repurposing things and keeping them going.

    Super minimalistic setup, still need 3 passes with those type of razors? I must try one of my SE again soon

    Nice Scott, in the true spirit of the thread, it's fun to get a great shave (no damage!) with affordable items.

    Love all the interesting products you keep coming up with Barry.

    Did I miss something in your earlier posts? This is a carbon blade, but coated with stainless from what I can find out, right? Can you notice any difference?

    Flexible, Favourite, Feather, Fatip, Fine, Felce, whatever grabs my Fancy

    Growth = 1 day
    Prep = cold water splash
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn street cream
    Soap = Sterling Satsuma sample
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Fatip Lo Storto
    Blade = Feather (2)
    Passes = 3+
    Post = Usual post followed by Fine Latigo

    Damage = none

    Smooth and smelling like a bed of roses

    Not much residue in the sink from the Sterling

    Did need to take more care with the Feather in the Fatip OC. Not the best match of blade and razor for me. Not hard work, but not nearly as easy as with the Gillettes

    Have a great Thursday!

    Thanks Chris! It's always good to change one's method of lathering, shaving, etc. I believe it makes one a better shaver and it prevents one from being in a rut.

    Great shave Chris. It's a great accomplishment to shave with an aggressive razor loaded with a Feather blade.without any cuts.

    Thank you Chris...The shaving assortment diversity will continue.... Both the Blue & Yellow pack Treet Duru Sharp are a carbon blade but with the edges "Treated" 'pardon the pun'! with Teflon/PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene),in a similar manner to all other stainless blades,..They are however not coated with stainless. The effect is the carbon blade doesn't readily get rust spots during the workable life of the blade. The Voshkod is a Stainless blade with Teflon coated blade edges. Personna do a tungsten coated stainless steel blade which suppose to be one of the best DE blades ever produced for it's longevity. Hope I've made some sense with this reply. Yours-Barry.

    Nice Throwback shave this morning. I haven't used thre Jeeves Bay Rum soap in quite a while. It's a good one. I'm getting better at the loading dock with my brushes. Clean and clear at the cheeks&sideburns. I got a Knick on the left side jawline. Other than that, no issues. 2 passes. Great finish from the Stephan Bay Rum A.S. Very Outstanding.

    Thanks Gary...happy to return to Dial 4 Men as a shave prep.....Dove is probably better, but it's such a nuisance to squeeze out. I go for nice and easy.

    Chris, if you're going to try AV Blue, watch out for that big pour spout. Too many Niagra Falls go into my sink. Shame, since it's such a popular and nice aftershave.

    Good evening.

    This is my 3rd favorite razor and she always gives me a great shave. This is the 47th shave since I first honed this razor and it still gives a great shave. I chose the Limoncello soap because it's very easy to whip up the lather and the smell is just wonderful. Here's my lather:

    Three easy passes went without a hitch for a BBS shave. I just love the way this razor performs. The alum was mostly silent, but a zing or two is acceptable to me. Splashed on the witch hazel and that glorious matching aftershave. Take care.
