Yes, and that is how I have discovered that many creams and soaps sold and then stored in plastic tubs lose their scent after a few years and all become "Unscented" or "Fragrance Free" - and the shaving creams turn into croaps....

So all come from the same physical factory but are in fact genuinely different products. Good to know.

absolutely..proraso even states that their tubed shave cream is the same as their tubbed croap, only it has been cured for 3 months ..

Good report and great pics, Chris!

The reason I never replaced my puck of MWF after using it up: I found that I could get a fine shave with it ... provided I spent about three times as much time and effort getting it to perform as I spent when shaving with Stirling or MdC soap or TOBS or JM Fraser's cream or any other good quality product. With all the excellent performers out there, I saw no need to waste time coaxing a "diva".

You are correct John. They also make/made creams for TOBS if I'm not mistaken. As you rightly stated, this happens with DE blades too, and probably quite a considerable amount of shaving assortments which are all rebranded with different brand/house names to the high street/on line retailer.

Very nice shave and setup Chris. Moreover, great job on the MWF lather.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend. The Nivea Men Originals shave cream/WS soap bowl created a very impressive super lather. A great duo of which I will use again in future shaves.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Creme.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Fine shave today....I wasn't pleased with the eay the Proraso squeezed out from the can, as it struggled in much the same way as did those Rises I got from an on-line buyer. I shook it all right, but forgot to dunk it under the tap(I will do both tomorrow-maybe that led to the problem.). In the end it allowed for a clean, clear shave all around...no damage. One pass. Strong finish from the Gabels Bay Rum. I'm learning to manage the clove persuasion in the Gabels-won't throw it away DUE to the clove persuasion, as overall it's a nice A.S. But I like Stephan's Bay Rum better still. Super Duper Outstanding.

Friday: I have not use this software in a while. Outstanding lather and scent. The scent is one the darker side. The profile is as follows: “The scent itself is spicy and warm with a twist of citrus on the top.
The notes include caramel, birch tar, black pepper, maple syrup, vanilla, patchouli, neroli, petitgrain, yuzu citrus, ginger, anise, juniper berry, white grapefruit, wormwood and coriander."
