Thank you John...TRSC shaving products have always provided me with more than acceptable shaving results, along with Creighton's another great shaving product from the UK. I was always told by my grandfather to "buy local products" if you can ,as it easierly available, and most importantly it helps the local high street shop community instead of the fat cat companies.

I'm not swooned to buy fancy packaging over rated-over priced for everyone changing shaving products that are pushed in our faces now.

However, it's down to individual choice what people buy. I'm not a one that keeps up with shaving Jones. I find it is unhealthy and unnecessary to do so.
I have however, bought far too many DE blades from eBay in the past to last me three life times.

    Regards- Barry.

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (2)
Soap - El Caballero by Oleo Soapworks (3017)
Brush - 30DC LE Custom Synthetic

Staying with the Piccolo another day or two. Really love how this razor performs, and with the Sharp Star it's as smooth and effective as they come. Easy setup to use and not worry about surprises. In my quest to trim down my soap collection I've decided to focus on one soap until gone (although I may cheat occasionally). I wiped out my sample of Stirling Black Ice that's been bouncing around for about 4 years or so. Today I started in on the El Caballero from Oleo Soapworks. A lot of my soaps have been with me for several years, and this one is about half gone. So, I lathered it up and plan to do so nearly every day until gone. The synthetic brush did a bang up job of producing a really rich lather, and it was quite enjoyable. This is a good soap, but I was never tempted to buy it after acquiring the first tub.

Two passes to a very nice finish and I'm ready to chill until one more night of work. Have a great Friday!

Very nice shave this morning, back with most of my Throwback Thursday lineup. I was upset that I had a miss on the right side of North Porcupine(above upper lip). The left side was fine. If I want a mustache at North Porcupine, I'd rather it cover the whole area, not just half. (Silly statement,I know, but it does have legs).A minute at the Mike's loading dock, just couldn't get enough soap onto that rough area at NP. Very well done at all other areas. I did get a Knick at the other side of North Porrcupine, but the cold water rinse and BN aftershave reduced a lot of it. Another one of those "Should I stop at 1 pass?" shaves, but I went for the second. Would have been a waste of quality soap. Nice work from the aforementioned Bill Neumann(1911)A.S. I just need to do bettwr with soap application. As ir was, Pretty Outtanding.

Gary, if I ever get back to London, I'll be sure to spend time at tht St. James neighborhoof of shaving goodies(I was in the Big L during summer of 1969, part of it anyway).

February 7 SOTM Head and Faceshave

    Good morning.

    Mühle R102
Suneko Amorphous Diamond DE Blade (10, 11)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
    TSD Barbershoppe SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 48 hrs
    Dome Turf: 5 days

    20250207_105253.jpg

I was long overdue for a headshave so I got right to it with my Mühle R102. Did 3 error-free passes on the dome and face for a BBS result all around. I could feel that the blade had seen better days so I binned it after my session. I really don't need to push it any further for the sake of doing so and risk cutting myself with a dull blade.
Although the pic shows my ShakeSharp lathering bowl, I decided to just load the brush off the puck and face and head lather.

Did not get any feedback from the alum block. Splashed on the matching aftershave to finish the shave. I am planning on using this soap more often so that it can be fitzed. Take care.
