    Good evening.

    Van der Hagen TTO Razor

Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23 hrs

I decided to have an easy Sunday shave with some of my favorite items.
I am saddened that Angora Soap Co. closed shop, but I am glad that I have an extra puck of this awesome soap. The scent and lather is just divine. Yesterday's shave was so close, that I opted for a mild razor and the VdH got the call. I needed 2 passes and buffing to get a BBS shave without bloodshed or irritation. I really appreciate this razor's ability to shave well. As expected, the blade has dulled, but it is still sharp enough to do its job. I figure that it has one or two shaves left before it gets banked. The alum was mostly silent and the application of the wonderful matching aftershave was the piéce de resistance. Take care.

I've been "doing the math" here(course a wise thing to do). A purchase from The Soap Exchange, including the 10% discount card that came with my first purchase(years ago)can bring down the actual price to equal a Bill Neumann 4 oz. or just a few cents more than a Hub City.

Not as great a shave today than yesterday, due to a Knick jjust off my lips. I should add, I had a different

    Prep-Stoylin Liquid Bodywash(Mtn. Man)

than yesterday. I'm glad Doc Ezlovan came up with these. I also didn't do as well on the cheeks...embarrassing. Going back to soaps tomorrow-perhaps I can kill off what I missed today. The jawline was asking for some strong razor work, and it got it. No cuts, the one Knick, and no polka-dots. One pass. The Russian Leather gave me a healthy and masculine post-shave. Overall, drop to Most Outstanding.

SE Shave # 306 - MICROMATIC DARKFALL MONDAY

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade: GEM Stainless (6)
Brush: MrEE Limited Edition #017 Cashmere 24 mm
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
Declaration Grooming Aftershave Liniment - Darkfall

Another excellent shave with the MMOC. This is the 6th shave with this blade and it is showing no signs of deterioration in performance.

Another close three pass shave has my face feeling great and looking good. Tomorrow we finish out the month with one final “First” razor shave. Most likely it will be either the Ren Ren Shavette or the Merkur 37c. If you gentlemen were to choose, which one would be you choice?

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
