It's my first shavette shave of the year and with a fresh blade to start off right. I decided to go for the RR soap for tonight's shave because it's easy to lather. I went for my porcelain shave bowl once again to create a lovely lather.


Although I had enough lather for at least three passes, I did my usual 2 pass shave and I achieved a nice, close, comfortable, near BBS result. There wasn't any blood lost, but I lightly tagged my chin so that I felt the edge. I immediately went for the alum and surprisingly, the red stuff did not make an appearance. Usually, it will even after I apply the alum, until it decides to clot. Well, I got lucky by stopping short with the edge. Lol!

Since I had enough lather, I decided to do a 2 pass headshave with my Mühle R102 (R41) loaded with a new Winner blade. Sorry, guys I didn't take a picture because it was a last minute decision to headshave. I got a nice cueball smooth headshave without any problems. The alum feedback was negligible on my head, and nil on my face and neck. Splashed the AQ and I was happy with my session. This is my 64th daily consecutive shave and have decided to do 100 in a row. So, Feb 8 will make it 100 and then I will go back to my normal routine of shaving every 30 to 36 hrs. Take care.

 

My new Razorock Plissoft brush looks great. It's the tallest of my collection, with the Jayaruh #59 as a close second.

y welcome....is that aftershave more tobacco LEAF than ASH?

 

Yeah I don’t know what went wrong with today’s shave. It wasn’t bad but just not the greatest. My lather wasn’t that slick today I’m not sure if my soap is old or my water to soap ratio was off or what but it wasn’t that slick so I didn’t really get that BBS shave I was going for. But maybe I can try again tomorrow. My last shave with the old spice was one of the best shaves I’ve gotten in a while, and I’d like to keep that consistency.

Fine shave to finish off this segment of the Bay Rum combo. Stephan B.R. is a classic old-school A.S.(1897), thus there will be times I'll use it on a Throwback Thursday. I had the Stoylin Pro Handle brush(big, but not as big as the Razorock I just received). Cheeks&sideburns came out good, but I had to redo some areas I missed. I also have to be careful at N.E. Porcupine Alley. Great at the jawline east-to-west, and all along Cactus Nation(neck). I'll have to "settle" for Super Duper Excellent.
