Thanks Scott. I like using the old tried and true brands that have been around since I was a young lad. In fact, some brands have been around longer than I. Lol! Seriously, retro shaving is one of the reasons why I got into wetshaving. Knowing that what l use to shave my stubble is experienced by a few men makes it special.

Terrific setup and shave Joe. I also average 200 traditional straight razor shaves per year. I guess that is part for the course because we mix it up with other razors.

Makes sense, thought there may have been a "vendor" problem. this is my first real hassle with on line purchases. Kind of puts you off. I will be patient a little while longer (till Friday)

I do too, and have been having fun lately with some of the old school hair tonics. It's nice to have at least one thing in common with Carey Grant!

    good morning gents
    another quick work shave.
i will say,no matter how pretty my other older gillettes are,
this u.s L-1 flare tip(like the brit /canadian k-4 flaretip rocket) gives the most efficient/close comfy shaves
    for a non adjustable razor.
it has medium blade feel /slim head and still heavy enough.
it's also the last year for the gillette all brass razor with only the slim adjustable
carrying on for 2 more years.

fabulous 2 pass bbs with minor pickups.
crown shaving co looks after the lather and splash.
    awesome.
    have a fine day everyone

Quick report. I will put out a more detailed one tomorrow morning with pictures

In the spirit of trying to push the envelope, I did a quick shave this morning with no prep shower. Just splashed some hot water on and face lathered with Arko. The Henson gave me another great shave with the same Feather blade on use #3.

    Consecutive days shaving- 4
Current skin issues or irritation- None so far

One more shave tomorrow with the Henson, then moving on to mild razor #2. Gillette Super Blue $3 AliExpress special (hopefully soon to be known as my cheap travel razor)....
