Another winner this morning. I always seem to do great with canned foams. Clean, clear shave with the Gillette Foamy. No damage anywhere. One pass. Fine finish frm the Russian Leather A.S.(TSD Store brand). As Outstanding As It Gets.

smooth slick 2 passer,minor pick ups.

Well, this worx, but I'm always happy with the wet shave persuasion. Having said that, I do miss my Rise cans, although having said THAT, I wasn't happy with the ones I bought from an on-line seller.

 

path of least resistance..no knicks or cuts is most important..stick with this for a week or 3..only then play around with some different stuff..

It's a cold Long Island morning. I was going to hold off the shave until tomorrow, but decided to go for it. Anyway, I picked the TI Spartacus and the Music City Suds Lavender soap to perk me up against a brutal winter's day.

Did 3 error-free passes for an awesome BBS result. Alum was quiet. Splashed on the last drops of witch hazel and finished with the matching aftershave. I feel refreshed and clean. Will hold of on the headshave until tomorrow. Take care.

I don't know that I will stick with it for that long, but here's two things that do come to mind: 1)-make sure I use more shave soap on the brush than I've been using. 2)-Fit in the Gillette Foamy on a Throwback Thursday. It qualifies, after all.

 

Nice to see all of the Deluxe together in one picture. That handle still looks good. Shows some character!

Third day with the New Deluxe and a Sharp Star. I had found my Stirling Bonaparte soap and A/S and decided today was a good day to break it out again. This was Stirling's run at a Vegetal scent and they did a fantastic job of it. I'm wondering if he has a stash of leftovers I might be able to buy from him. Same fantastic Stirling lather with a nod to a truly classic aftershave. The JR#230 is one of the smallest brushes in my collection but had no problem whipping the soap into shape. Blade was still smooth and perfect on day three. I've run Sharp Stars well past three days, but as is my custom (and the fact I have a lifetime supply) this will be the last day for this blade.

Two passes, a bit of touch up and I'm ready to roll. The Bonaparte A/S just added the perfect finishing touch.
