    Days growth = 1
    Prep = Hot water prep
    Preshave = PR Cypress and Vetyver
    Cream/Soap = T&H Sandalwood
    Brush = Chubby 2
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Red Tip
    Blade = Bolzano (2)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers,
    ASL = Fine Latigo
    Scent = TOBS Royal Forest lotion. Black Oud to the pulse points
    Score = 10/10
    Damage = none

    Thoughts = Much easier shave. This razor is better suited to me than the milder ones, but I will keep them on hand for now to provide some variation. The Bolzano cleaned up well on the 1st pass. Very little left for pass #2 and only the difficult areas needed some buffing

    Have a great Friday and weekend ahead

    This morning's shave began in fine form, but a couple nasty surprises developed in the prOHcess. The brush did a great job scooping up the Stoylin Glacial soap in less than a minute's time. Clelan and clear along the face and sideburns. Ditto North Porcupine. Not so South Porcupine and South Cactus, with cuts happening. At South Cactus, I never felt there was a problem until I saw it and said "How did I get THAT?" 2 cuts, no Knicks, Polka-dots. I think the cuts happened during the second pass, as I came VERY CLOSE to just stopping after the first, figuring I had done a great shave. Nice work again with the Gabel's A.S., and closed again with One Man Show cologne. Pretty Outstanding(which means better than Very Mediocore, but not by much).

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave)

    A new shave set up to start the weekend. It's been a while since I last used the inexpensive Wilkinson Sword Classic razor which for me is always a pleasure to shave with.

    The two-piece design of the razor makes it easy to load the blade, covering the full blade with no exposure of the blade edges a brilliant safety feature especially for shaving sensitive areas without the risk of getting cuts & nicks from the blade ends which was a great bonus for me when I first introduced myself to the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving.

    Another Great razor & blade duo. The Feather gives the mild WS classic a biting efficient edge mowing through my face & head stubble using short strokes with effortless ease.
    The Proraso Sandalwood Soap isn't exactly a Summer scent but I use shaving soaps & creams what ever the season. Like all the other Proraso Soaps and creams it provides me with a slick protective lather for the shave leaving a equally good post shave feel.

    Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

    Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Well, I got away with a fine shave today that didn't begin well, in the form of a cut at South Porcupine Alley(chin). Great work at the Loading Dock-0:50 was all the time I needed to get a strong amount of soap onto the brush. I'm not sure of the history behind this shavesoap(from ArtRazor of Ukraine), but it's a very nice soap as it is. ArtRazor focuses mainly on straight razors, which is fine, but there must be some artisan company working in concert with them that provides shave soaps. This is an ongoing investigation, so I shouldn't comment on it, other than what I have already commented. Anyway, back to the shave itself. I'm not yet at the point of going soft with my strokes all the way(thus making it a habit), which no doubt caused the cut on the chin. Clean and clear all over, except for that area. 2 passes. The cold-water rinse and Osage Rub A.S. killed off the cut-GOOD. Very Outstanding for the second day in a row, and for the same reason-one problem prevented a super shave. By the way, what confused me further about ArtRazor is tht I saw a video of a guy shaving with a huge straight razor he said is an "ArtRazor" from Ukraine-but had a different shave soap and A.S. How did this soap(the one used today)be a part of Art Razor?

    Perhaps Fraser has gone the way of Rise, Burma Shave, Rapid Shave, and Colgate.....too old for today's business.(I say that with sadness.....what's wrong with being too old for today's business, y'know???).

    I haven't used this 100+ yr old straight in awhile so I decided to use it for this morning’s shave. It really amazes me that this razor still shaves very well. It took down my 2 day stubble with no problems. Three passes gave me a very close, comfortable shave without any red leakage.
    Below is my lather:

    I had minimal alum feedback. Applied the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this shave. Take care.

    Wonderful Wilkinson Sword Classic shave Barry. I also use soaps that don't necessarily mesh with the seasons. Also,, I am a cold water shaver all year round.. Why limit one's shaving experiences?

    if you read John's @Screwtape post here in this thread..he says fraser's was purchased by a conglomerate.when covid hit the line shut down,and when covid was over,the conglomerate chose to not restart the production line..it's a real shame.easily outranks many soaps around today performance wise,yes stirling also..;)
