    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave #564

Had a very nice shave. In the past, I always looked down upon this brand, but on the 5th use, this blade still cuts my whiskers without a problem. My three pass shave gave me a weep, but a BBS quality result was achieved.
Stirling Tsuka is a fougere/cologne scent that I like very much, but the company doesn't always stock it. I am kind of shocked because the scent can be used anytime of the year. It would be appropriate for a date night, etc.
Obviously, Stirling's lather has always performed well for me. Here's my lather:

I did have some nice alum feedback. Applied the witch hazel and splashed the wonderful matching aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

I would really like to join. Hope it is not too late.

Okay, so I have found Paroso to be a wonderful soap ever since I started with the Van Der Hagen. This is probably my second favorite soap.
Razorock Beehive brush, which is a fine-bristled (soft) and large 28mm knot. I like it more than and it is cheaper than the hi-synthetic Omega
The lather bowl I probably won't use because the Paraso is almost empty, but it is the Fine Accoutrements Ceramic Shaving Lather Bowl
The Hensen AL13+ (mild) AL as in Aluminum. This thing provides phenomenal shaves!
Blade, I am using the Derby Extra simply because I need the plastic thing for blade disposal.

    Please rate my setup.

I cannot believe I am going to say this, but I now love shaving. It feels so good. It is like my own personal time, and for the first time in years I 100% confident I can create a thick lather, produce a BBS shave in two passes with no irritation and no nicks. I can now do this probably 98% of the time including my upper lip under my nose. The other oddball 1/50 shave I accidentally leave a tiny spot of a whicker I miss. If I get a nick, it is so tiny it doesn't even weep, but I haven't nicked myself in the past 20+ shaves...

For me this is a game changer.

Monday July 22 (early morning) - Just One July and JM Fraser's July plus Menthol Monday

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / vintage American-made Schick Plus Platinum(?) (6)

    Soap: J.M. Fraser's Shave Cream

    Brush: APShaveCo 24mm SynBad fan

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Osage Rub, Clubman VIBR

Last shave: Tuesday evening - 5.5 days

The usual Just One July setup:

    IMG_20240712_002641_2_kindlephoto-1080687.jpg

I enjoyed the usual good shave with this setup. The shave cream easily whipped up into a creamy slick face lather with sufficient in the brush for my two passes. One pass WTG and the second XTG everywhere and once again, I am a cleanshaven gent.

No blood; no razorburn; alum was silent.

I finished off with a good splash of Osage Rub followed by an equally healthy dose of Clubman Virgin Islands Bay Rum for two types of tingling and burning finish. Afterwards, the fan felt pleasantly chilly blowing against my cleanshaven face.

Hope the week goes well for everyone.

A much better shave today than those of yesterday and the day before. (Course I didn't list yesterday's). 0:30 at the Loading Dock for the Stoylin Glacial Electric Sheep. Clean and clear shave most everywhere execpt for a Knick at S.W. Porcupine Alley(neck). 2 passes. The A.S.(Royal Copenhagen)which followed the cold-watr rinse neutralized the Knick somewhat. RC has been here for a long time-it's time to put it to work more...a nice summer A.S. Most Outstanding for today's shave.

    Good evening.

    G E Jones ShakeSharp
    2 Suneko DE Blades (4)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 29 hrs

    20240722_203900.jpg

I went with the G E Jones ShakeSharp razor for this evening's shave. I only needed to error-free passes for a BBS shave. I must admit that the Suneko blades are quite sharp to clear my stubble in two passes w/o touchups.
I just love the scent and the performance of Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender. I didn't need much soap to produce this amount of lather. Here's my lather:
    20240722_204424.jpg

Surprisingly, I hardly had any alum feedback. The witch hazel and the matching aftershave were splashed on my face and neck, respectively. It was a nice late evening session. Take care.
