  3. I decided that today will be a non-shave day. I already have my setup laid out for tomorrow. I will be using one of my C-Mon straights with my C-Mon/Heritage Collection Replica SHD Badger Brush.

  5. Tuesday June 11 (evening) - Just Shaving June & Injector Blade Focus

Prep: Hot shower and then a face wash with Aleppo olive oil soap with 20% bay laurel oil

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / vintage American-made Schick Plus Platinum (10)

    Soap: TOBS Lavender cream (croap)

    Brush: APShaveCo 24mm SynBad fan

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, TSD Lavender Shave Milk

Last shave: Saturday morning - 3.5 days

    Today's shave stuff: No Photo

My Kindle Fire tablet started to crap out on me a week ago, so I bought a new one. I was able to back most of my old tablet's setup onto the new one but have spent the last two days doing a lot of manual fine tuning. Haven't had a chance to get the camera and photos on the new one set up all yet, so no photo of today's shave stuff.

Which was totally different from what I have been using for the last month and a half.

Same razor and same blade I have been endurance testing, but different soap/cream and brush -- plus the addition of a post-shave product. I have always liked the scent of lavender, and the one of the TOBS Lavender cream is simple but strong and good, as is the scent of the aftershave milk from our own TSD Shop...

The TOBS shave cream is one that I barely used, put away as a full tub but with a slightly loose lid -- and returned to several months later to find that it was now a 1/4 tub full of croap. The scent is still very much there though, and the croap lathers up quickly with a few loading swirls of a damp brush.

I enjoyed near instant lather on my face with enough in the brush to do the second pass with plenty left over. My usual two passes with the injector razor had me back to a clean DFS in no time. Alum was a bit warm overall but no real problems. The TSD shave mild provided a pleasant moisturizing finale.

Hope the week is going well for everyone so far.

By my next shave, I should have my new tablet fully operational and be able to take photos. I expect I will use the same setup for the next few shaves as I enjoy these products.
  6. Excellent shave and post John. As you may know, I like lavender as well.
  7. Thank you Joe.

Three passes for a nice comfortable shave without any blood leakage. Here's my lather:

The lather was overhydrated, but it still was slick for me to have a shave.
There wasn't any alum feedback. Finished in my usual manner. Take care.
  11. Quite good shave today, as I returned to yesterday's. I used my weakest brush("The Clubman Pinaud")with the hopes that it imight do me some good. No. I didn't load enough soap onto it. That led to some polka-dots alongside Porcupine Alley(mostly the). South end-the chin.). I call them Polka-dots because there's no pain, the things just SHOW UP. Thankfully all went well everywhere else. The Bay Rum A.S., which followed the cold-water rinse helped soften the polka-dots. Closed out again with Halston cologne. Very outstanding(course that means it was good, but I know I can do better).

    SRS #’s 1109 & 1110 - Gemini Shave - Busta’s Blend

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Taylor Eyewitness 1000
Brush: Leo Frilot ECWS 2018 Ghost Trails
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Tim’s Soap Busta’s Blend
    Aftershave: Halston Z - 14
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Omega Alum

Fabulous Gemini shaves Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The Taylor Eyewitness straight, which I won in a raffle in 2021, continues to deliver the exceptionally smooth and close shaves. I did my usual three passes with stellar results.
Yesterday, I met Joe, @Trigger, for our monthly breakfast. Once again another fantastic two and a half hours of great conversation. This is what happens when you put two Brooklyn Italians at the same dining table. The only thing that would have made it better was a huge bowl of macaroni and sauce, not gravy.

By the way, I can confirm that Joe is all set for the summer. He was sporting his Good Himor Ice Cream attire. Wish I had taken a picture to share here.

Hope you all had I great day.
  20. What do you mean by flip? Is that mean the same fate as the two colognes you mentioned the other day?
