Two fantastic shaves the last two mornings. Yes, Mother Nature has decided to amplify the heat for the next few days. Of course this fact has not stopped me from getting g in my workouts early in the morning before she really gets cracking.
Monday: X3 Bar Push followed by a sprint workout at Heritage Park. (probably the same part that Joe, @Trigger, was relaxing at on his birthday on Sunday.
Tuesday: X3 Bar Pull workout followed by a 10 round weight jump rope session and a power wheel workout for 5 rounds.

I am already dreading tomorrow’s X3 Leg (Muscle Mass) workout tomorrow. It is downright challenging before you add the increased temperature and humidity. Beastmode it shall be.

Yes, the shower and subsequent shave felt downright awesome. Three passes with the Ern straight did the job nicely. No runs, no drips and no errors.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

  12. Today's shave was no different than yesterday's, frankly. Same products, same results. I did a little better at first on NW Porcupine, thus I didn't need to work hard at going back to correct a miss. It's getting close to time to replace the Barbasol. No worries there, as it is popular enough to be available at CVS and the local supermarket. As Outstanding As It Gets.

Same setup as before. Except for
    ...fresh Astra superior stainless
    ...ASL Rinfrescante
    ...Guerlain Pour Homme

    2+ passes

    Super smooth with the Popular

The Clubman pinaud soap is not bad but not as slick to my mind as Sterling soap

Never mind. Still has to be used up

Have a wonderful Wednesday one and all

  14. It's another awesome shave, Chris. To be fair, most soaps don't compare to Stirling's slickness and to it's value.

  15. June 19 SOTA Head and Face Shave; Dedicated to Jeff A Greene

    Good afternoon.

    G E Jones ShakeSharp
    2 Suneko DE Blades (1,2)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Seaforth Sea Spice Lime SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 30 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3.25 days

I haven't used this razor in a very long time and mostly for headshaves. It was given to me by Jeff Greene @jgreenepa who hasn't been on this thread almost to the day in 2 yrs. Unfortunately, he had a medical incident that made him stop posting here. He was a good guy on this thread and he had quite an eclectic assortment of straight razors. Anyway, that's why I dedicated this shave to him.
I believe this razor was made in the early 1930's or thereabouts. It is a single edge razor that originally used a thicker blade, hence, using 2 DE blades to mimic that thickness. When Jeff gave me this blade, he recommended using Suneko blades, but they were not being made so I used other DE blades instead. I was happy to get Suneko blades from Joe C awhile back so this is the first time that I am using the recommended blades with this razor. Btw, the head does not pop up to install or remove blades. You have to slide the blade from left to right to do so. After installing the blades, slide the head back and the catch will lock it in place.
Did a 2 pass face and a 2.5 pass on the dome for an error-free BBS shave. I am glad that I used the Seaforth Sea Spice Lime soap because its slickness protected me from these sharp blades. Here's my lather:

I had a fair amount of alum feedback on the neck and lower back of my dome and nape. Finished the shave with splashing the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. Take care.
  16. Great tribute shave to my wonderful inspirational Yankee doodle dandy friend Jeff @jgreenepa, his shaving knowledge is amazingly good, Jeff kindly gifted and introduced me to injector razors which I'm eternally grateful for doing so as they have became a great favourite of mine especially for head shaving. I wish him well, and hope he in good health & enjoying his life.
  17. Thanks Barry. Jeff is definitely missed.
