    Pears Transparent bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 10051.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: La Toja Shave Stick.
    Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword. (D2)
    Razor: Parker 92R.

    Post:
    Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./La Toja ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

    Everything in my shave set up this morning paired together wonderfully. The non La Toja stick has a good slickness & post shave I really like the fragrance of this shave stick, it's fresh clean scent reminds me of dove bar soap with a masculine edge to it.

    A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

    My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Thank you, but there is one grade higher than that. However, I am happy too, with SDO :).

    Yes, that's why samples are nice. You are less likely to wind up with a cupboard full of 20 years worth of soaps if you test them with samples first. Also, bear in mind that a shaving soap you hate as a shaving soap is still soap and often works perfectly well as a handsoap in the sink by the toilet...

    A great Throwback Thursday shave this morning. I made the right choice to break out a glacial soap, with the hot weather. Gave my face and neck a nice "Ice Bucket Challenge"(something of which I'm sure there will be more in the next couple months). Clean clear shave all around. I really enjoy having the Caswell-Massey "Jockey Club" A.S. JFK did, too, presumably for the last 23 years of his life(1940 when it came out-1963). As Good As It Gets.

    I've never washed my hands with a shaving soap, but I do with "bath soaps" because they(bath)are too big for my shower-no space to put 'em). Course Doc Ezlovan at Stoylin flips in a free hand-soap with most orders.

    It was about time that I shaved. I didn't want to do it tomorrow because I didn't want to feel rushed. I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow. Funny, they called today to confirm the appointment. That's usual protocol. However, the office said that the doctor wants to do an ultrasound on my heart as well. They have a tech that does it in the same building. I said that I am busy tomorrow and that I only planned on just a regular visit. They said that's OK, we will schedule it when you come in tomorrow. So I have an upcoming procedure next week. I have been with this doctor for 4 months and he is good. I guess he has to make sure that my heart is ok before he gives me the release for my dental work. Lol! I guess it's for the best. Ok. Enough of my health journey. Let me get on with my shave.

    Three passes gave me an error-free BBS shave. I really took my time to enjoy this shave. The Shave Den soap gave me a nice, slick lather. The alum feedback was stinging in various areas, but mostly on the neck. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this shave. Take care.

    1 ½ Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Palmolive Shave cream
    Soap = TOBS Oud lathered over the top of the preshave
    Brush = Semogue Pegasus C7 finest badger 2 band
    Bowl = White plastic
    Razor = Gillette 1939 No46 Popular
    Blade = Kai (5)
    Passes = 3 were needed
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
    ASB = TOBS Royal Forest
    ASL = Proraso Barbe Dure with Oud
    Scent = Burberry Hero
    Plus a few drops of Arabian Sunset Oud to the pulse points

    The Kai still did well on day 5 but was starting to fade a bit, so this was duly binned
    Not bad, normally I don’t go much beyond 3 days on one blade

    Delightful damage free start to a chilly day, although the Alum made its presence felt
    Hope you have/had a great Friday
