18 March 2023 Today's set up: Growth: 2 days. Had to skip a day, y'day was busy. Lather Bowl: None/ thought I would face lather today. Not a great success. Brush: Old Vulfix, soaked 10 minutes, shook dry and squeezed dry, probably too dry. Razor: Gillette Tech Aluminium Blade: Feather (2) Face Prep: Hot Water Soak x 3 Pre shave: Proraso Pelli Sensibili Cream/Soap: MWF was calling this morning. Post Shave: HWR, CWR, Thayer’s. Aftershave: Old spice to the face, nice bit of zinging. Scent: Who is Elijah Passes: 3 passes. 1st pass: WTG, XTG one way, then XTG the other in a chevron pattern to try and get the every-which-way growth in the cheek areas mowed down faster. Seems to work OK, will use this again next time in the 1st pass. N-S in the neck area seems safe enough. 2nd pass: overall XTG top lip outside in 3rd pass: top lip inside to outside, A whole sequence of touch ups needed esp where the growth to the right of the AA is horizontal. Frustrating area to get smooth. Long leisurely w/e shave. Results: Overall Super smooth. Impression: Feather (2) still doing its job. I have a feeling the light Tech is not the best for me for a 2 day growth with a light razor. Tempted to press harder but didn’t. Squeezed the brush dry before loading the MWF. Should probably have left more water in and loaded longer. Got some dry snow flakes while lathering…too dry…razor started dragging towards the end of the 1st pass. Back to the MWF added more lather, dipped in water and carried on with the 2nd lathering and 2nd pass. Will see if I will be able to use the Feather a third time, maybe with heavier razor. Have a great weekend everyone.
Fine shave this morning with a Razorock combo of Tuscan Oud (shave and aftershave). Cheeks&Sideburns look good, 2 Polka-dots on South Porcupine(chin) and a Knick down at Cactus(neck). None painful, which is good. Still "experimenting" around the ingrown swamp at the right side of Cactus. Nice finish with the aftershave. I still can't locate my Agadir aftershave(strong oud), but the Razorock Tuscan Oud has been a good substitute. Pretty Outstanding.
Yaqi Artist Club razor head. Yaqi Globtrotter handle. Feather AC blade. Yaqi 24mm synthetic brush. Phoenix Accoutrements Dixie shave soap. Timeless Razor shave bowl. Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT. Excellent shave this morning! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Super Saturday shave and gear Barry! The Trumper's Violet cream seems intriguing to me. Enjoy your evening.
Thank you, joe. The Trumper Violet is a very good cream. My skin felt great this morning after the shave, the lather has a purple hue to it once it's mixed. I also like the scent, which pairs together very nicely with the Grey Flannel. Have a great start to weekend my friend.
March 18 SOTA Good afternoon. Shavette Shave #443 Parker SRB Laser 1/2 DE Blade (fresh) Rockwell Model T1 (6) (not pictured) Shaveboy DE Blade (?) Hembree Delrin/Maggard Timberwolf Brush Stirling Tsuka SS, AS and EDT Stirling Alum Block Beard Growth: 23.5 hrs Dome Turf: 3 days I am going out tonight to see one of my fav Christian bands so of course I needed a complete above-the-shoulder shave. Stirling Tsuka got the pick because it's a nice scent for going out and meeting people. I won a Heritage razor from the last TSD Raffle and the donating member supplied me with Laser Blades. I never heard of them so I decided to be adventurous and try them in the Parker SRB Shavettte. I did a 2 pass shave without pickups, but the blade felt a little rough for a triple-coated Blade. Now, it did gave me a great shave, but I got a tiny cheek weep and I attribute it to the blade. Maybe on the second run it will be better. My headshave went well. I did 3 passes with minor pickups for cueball results. The alum was slight in some areas, but I am OK with it. Splashed on the lovely matching aftershave and spritzed on the matching EdT and I am good to go. Take care.

19th March 2023. Shaving recipe for today. Prep: Warm shower:/ Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body + Face Wash. Pre: Cold wet flannel to my face. Pears Original Transparent Bar Soap. Brush: Omega 10077. Face Lather. Lather: Razorock "What The Puck? !"Lime Burst Shaving soap. Razor: Muhle R89. Blade: Shark Super Stainless. (D2) Post: Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Aloe Vera Gel./Milton Lloyd Essentials No10 EdP. Greetings, A relaxing Sunday morning shave. I have mentioned in many of my posts how much i like my Muhle R89. I have a fair few DE razors but the more razors I have used, the more I still really like the design of the standard R89, and like the Edwin Jagger DE89, & Merkur 34C, which are all excellent razors for beginners and more experienced shavers. IMHO it definitely doesn't get the credit it rightly deserves. Probably because it's over shadowed by the Edwin Jagger DE89. As always YMMV. Another smooth performance from the R89/Shark SS duo. A Comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No10 EdP to the pulse points. My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. Keep safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.
