    Brush: Semogue 1470.
    Bowl Lather.
    Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
    Lather: Proraso Blue Shaving Cream.
    Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) Yellow/Red pack. D2)
    Razor: Lord L125.

    Post:
    Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Superdrug Sierran Breeze ASL./L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave..

    Another wonderful razor/blade combo. The inexpensive Egyptian made razor is another razor I've infrequently used since it was passed on to me. Today is another example to myself that you don't need expensive shaving products to have a close acceptable shave. A good efficient razor which pairs together with the Treet Dura Sharp wonderfully.

    A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

    My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Another nice one with a repeat of yesterday's tools, although I had the Clubman-Pinaud brush. Always a challenge to load that brush. Clean and clear everywhee except South Porcupine(chin), where I developedwhat I'd call a "re-Knick"....going over an original Knick area but a little too hard. No pain, at least. No cuts, Polka-dots, and the one "re-Knick". 2 passes. Clubman A.S. great again, but for me, when HASN'T it been great? Most Outstanding.

    Days growth = 2

    10 Mar 2024.jpg

    Continuing this mini focus with M.I.T.A and the 37C
    Back to the Kai, assessing how the extra width of the blade would feel

    Prep = 3 x cold water soak
    Preshave = TOBS Jermyn street massaged in
    Soap = Sterling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Merkur 37C
    Blade = Kai (4)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
    ASL = Fine Latigo
    Damage = none

    Unusual for me to go to Day 4 with a blade. The Kai did well, so well I will keep it for another day!
    The 37C + Kai did a great job on 2 days growth, still only needing 2 passes but with liberal touch ups, (not needed but being a lazy self indulgent Sunday shave I decided to spend more time on technique)

    I think (imagining things?) the Kai is getting smoother, so I will take it to Day 5 at some stage

    DFS all over
    80-90% BBS all over including back the neck, left hand shaving improving

    Have some Great Sunday shaves gents

    I haven't used this razor in a very long time so it had to come out today. It gave me a nice 3 pass error-free near BBS shave. Today's lather:

    The alum gave some slight feedback on my neck. Applied the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. It was a nice relaxing shave. Take care.

    SRS # 1054 - Sample Soap Sunday - Mr. Powells Mellow Honey Mash

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Wade & Butcher No. 1 Hollow Ground
    Brush: Shore Shave Player 26 mm
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Mr. Powell's Mellow Honey Mash Shave Soap
    Aftershave: Floïd Genuine Vigoroso
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Outstanding shave this morning. This shave featured the Lakewood Soap Company’s Mr. Powells Mellow Honey Mash soap and the razor, PIF to me by the very same Mr. Lee Powell of the Old Cahaba Shave Club, the Wade & Butcher No. 1 Hollow Ground.

    Lakewood Soap Company produces a quality soap. I have several which I should use more often. Super slick lather which provides a great cushion for the blade to do its work. The scent profile of the soap is as follows: “Smooth whiskey, sweet honey, aged wood and a touch of vanilla...”.

    Hope you all had a great day.
