    Greetings,

    The Haslinger schafmilch sheep milk & lanolin soap is such a great performing nice mild fragranced shaving soap which my mature skin loves and creates a good lather in a short space of time leaving a superb post shave feel.

    I have a another cake ready to use once this one is done.

    Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Mitchell’s Match-up and Mix up

    1 Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Palmolive Lather shave regular
    Cream/Soap = MWF lathered straight over the pre-shave
    Brush = Vulfix Old Original Sovereign travel 2189 (22 mm knot)
    Bowl = face
    Razor = Gillette Aristocrat ~1947
    Blade = Permasharp (3) still great
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, L’Occitane Cedrat
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = English Leather Aftershave Splash

    Score = 9.9 / 10
    Damage = none

    MWF worked out find just dipping back into the bowl for each pass and adding some water

    Decided to try the little travel brush today based on Barry’s recent post. It doesn’t hold much lather which is fine for the Fat anyway because it can be dipped back into the puck each time

    The Imperial Leather finally gave up the good fight and has been sunk

    Overall very happy start to a cooler Tuesday morning in Perth

    Have a great day everyone

    thanks Joe, no point in tolerating a lazy blade

    That's a seriously large looking brush that Rooney, but a beauty
    interesting that both razors perform differently. I will steer clear of them and stick to my DE and SE

    Sounds interesting. I have a few brushes already, but if one or two pack I might look at a mixed badger & boar as a replacement

    Thanks Gary

    Lovely setup. I've said it before and will say it again: nice brush you got there Gary
    Good score on the old spice btw

    super shave Joe, if I can spell it or pronounce it I don't want it (nah, just sayin')
    Hats off to all you open blade shavers out there

    Great looking razor. Congrats and the pick up and the nice trees in the background!
    Thanks Joe

    Amazing start to the day Joe
    I am exhausted just reading about it!

    Thanks Joe

    Thank you Gary

    Really stunning set Gary

    Thanks for the tip on the Haslinger. I have enough (too much) soap, but if I was starting out again I would be duly enabled!
    Another great shave Barry.

    Razor - Kai Artist Club
    Blade - artist-club-small-professional-blades.jpg
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - West Coast Shaving Synthetic

    I skipped yesterday so had a two day growth waiting. Still had the blade loaded in the Kai pain stick so I grabbed it, my West Coast brush and my Arko. Quick, easy, and the lather will definitely be slick and plenty of it. Two passes with the pain stick to a very fine finish. No blood on steel today. Good to see I can still handle some bare steel without any problem.

    I never tried a Charcoal-type soap. I guess it's good that the hot stuff is blended in with something(Lavender, in your case).

    Razor: Wade & Butcher 5/8 French Point
    Brush: MrEE Limited Edition #017 Cashmere 24 mm
    Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Aftershave: Razorock Stallion
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Sweet shave this morning. The WB razor did a phenomenal job removing the one day growth. Three passes without incident.

    The MrEE synthetic brush whipped up a nice lather sufficient enough to do a fourth pass if I wanted to. There was a fourth application of the lather which is the final step in the shave to leave the face hydrated with all the nice benefits of the face soothing properties of the soap.

    Hope you all have had a great day gentlemen.
