Hi Gary @brit I am playing pinochle at my senior center and my lady friend showed me her great grand grandfather's vintage Gillette razor. Do you know the make of this Gillette?

that is a 1960's tech travel razor, can also be deemed a ladies armpit razor due to the handle size ,similar to 1930's versions size wise..

Thanks Joe. As far as your prophetic ability, I would say it doesn't exist.

Hi Gary. Thanks for replying. I really appreciate it, but as a non-expert may I dare say that you may be incorrect. Here's my logic. This woman is 74 yrs old and it was her great grandfather's razor. Assuming a generation is approximately 30 yrs, he would be between 150 and 160 yrs of age today because he is 3 generations from this lady.. Taking the lower number of 150. He would 90 in 1964. I don’t think he was buying a new razor at that age and that's assuming he was alive back then. I highly doubt it because most people were only living in the early 70’s during that time. Before I texted you, I told this woman it was a travel razor so I got that right.
Due to his approximate age, I figured that this razor was made in the 1930's because he would be about 60 and although it was during the Great Depression, I could see him getting it at that age.
Also, your pictures don't match this razor because it's not an open comb. Maybe this lady meant to say grandfather and then your estimate would make sense. Again, I just want to make sure.

I have to agree with Gary. The top picture he posted (1964 Travel Tech) is a dead ringer to the one you posted. Gary was comparing it in size to the older OC razor.

the oldest this razor is i1961 as per the slopes on each end of the top caps..
the razor you posted is a 1961-17ish travel tech..no question..:)
