Today's shave was a repeat of yesterday's...well, ALMOST. As usual in the "repeats" I had a different

Brush-The Clubman Pinaud.


It was a very nice shave. Again, the small Clubman brush suprised me, but probably due to the fact that I am lathering better(thanks @brit). Another 1:00 loading job. Clean and clear everywhere. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. 2 passes. Nice close from the Gabels Original A.S. Super Duper Outstanding.

I had a very busy day and got home just after 10:15 pm. I didn't want to rush my shave for tomorrow so I did this very late evening shave. I am getting my car serviced and I have to bring it in early, hence this evening's shave. I went with the Frederick Reynolds straight razor because I wanted to be Simpatico with Joe @JACarbone since he recently used his. This razor is sharp, but it doesn't feel like it's cutting my stubble, but it definitely does. I don't know what this previous owner used to hone it, but it's definitely shaves nice. However, I did put it on my pasted strop and it still gave me a smooth feeling.
Capt. Choice North gives a nice slick and creamy lather. The juniper scent is mild, but nice. Here's my lather:



Did three error-free passes for a real, smooth, close and comfortable shave. The alum feedback was nil. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am clean and refreshed. This shave was my 1,100th open blade shave. 550 straight shaves and 550 shavette shaves brings about that milestone. Take care.

Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10077.
Face Lather.
Lather: Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D4)
Razor: Parker Razor Head w/Mühle R89 Handle.

Early morning shave,

A wonderful performance from the Franken-razor/Dorco Prime Platinum duo to finish my shaving week off & month off on a high note.

My main highlights of the month have been my Reacquaintance with Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone & Dorco Prime Platinum blade both have performed superbly throughout the month. Throughout June I will be returning to my Parker razor collection using the Parker Adjustable Injector & Variant for my combined face & head shaves and various other Parker DE razors for my face shaves paired together with the Treet Platinum DE blades.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Fine Throwback shave this morning. I found I had more than enough Barbasol to work with, as a little too much came out. The more the merrier with shave soap and shaving cream. Clean and clear in most areas, but I think I can do better tomorrow at North Porcupine. That will happen. Pleased with my Cactus Nation(neck)work. Goose-eggs on cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. One pass. The Bill Neumann(Signature 1907)A.S. went on a bit hard, but has calmed down now to the nice soft skin-loving feel you get with it. Course it smells good, too. Overall I give the shave an As Outstanding As It Gets.
