I had the Micromatic family delivered today (MMBT, MMCP, and MMOC) as well as a GEM Junior.
I usually don't buy more razors until I have tried the previous ones but I found some in decent condition and wanted to grab the whole MM family at once to try them out. Each of the four razors were purchased individually from different sellers on different days from different parts of the US yet they all showed up today.

Now I have to figure out which one to start with.

I know, first world problems.

These will be the first vintage GEMs that I actually shave with. I was given an MMOC a while back but one of the blade stops was missing, so I never shaved with it.

Fabulous three pass shave with the W & B “Bow” razor. I am still battling a darn cold. I am dealing with both nasal congestion and a pest of a cough which comes and goes.

Regardless of the cold, I had a nice day especially since Mother Nature has cooked up a gorgeous and relatively warm day for this time of year. I will take it.

Well, it is been an interesting day to say the least. Lol! My phone is on it's last legs and I am getting a replacement phone because the screen has been cracked in many places and the LED has seen better days. My problem is that I have to manipulate the screens to get to where I want to be and some of the apps have disappeared, i.e. the camera app, etc. So there won't be any setup pics today and tomorrow. Thankfully, the phone is insured so I didn't pay the full vig and I am getting the same model.
Anyway, the Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh SS produced a great lather. The scent is not unpleasant, but it's not my jam. Did a 2 pass shave without errors. The alum feedback was slight. Finished with the witch hazel and matching aftershave. Their was a slight burn, but the sensation was not outlandish. Have a good nigutm

I definitely will start off with the MMBT since that is the mildest so I can get used the proper angle. Then I think I will try the MMCP. At that point, I don't know whether to try the MMOC (just to compare the similar handle/weight razors) or the GEM Junior. I have read that the MMOC is more aggressive than the Junior but I am willing to bet that the Junior will take a different touch since it is a lighter razor.

Anyway, it should be fun. My only GEM shaves up to now has been the Blackland Sabre and I know that the angle is different with the Sabre vs. the vintage GEMs.
I am curious to see how the MMBT compares to the Sabre in terms of mildness.
