    Nice shave Joe!

Is that bowl you have made for shaving, or is it something you repurposed? I don't recall having seen anything quite like it before...

Wonderful shave this morning with this software and hardware combination. The tub of soap including the plastic tub now weighs in a 33 grams. As a result, I decided to scoop the remaining soap in almond size balls which now have a number of 8 shaves remaining. I faintly hear Gordon Lightfoot in the background. My goal is to finish this soap by the end of the first week in December. At that time I will have completed 4 full tubs with an outside shot at 5 for the calendar year 2023.

I did my usual three passes with fabulous results. I hope you all have had an enjoyable day.

Happy with my shave this morning.....2 passes, zero across the board on cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Clean and clear all around. I think I just need to spend more time shaving than I have in the past. I like Stoylin's Oro Valley very much. I think the Doc is now offering it in the full-sized 5.8 oz.persuasion. What I now have is 3.0. Another solid round of Clubman Special Rserve A.S. I call it "Ed Pinaud Goes West". As Outstanding As It Gets.

It's safe to say that Pasteur's Pharmacy soap I just ordered will be my last purchase for 2023. This pirchase increases my thinking of a NB 24.

Thanks Chris. I have always used my left hand when I straight/shavette shave. I do the cheeks and neck with my left, but I have only recently been shaving the left side of my chin and mustache with it.

Great shave and observations Chris. There is a saying, "Don't find the BBS, let the BBS find you."

Thanks Scott. No, it was a bowl that I picked up at my local Dollar Tree Store. I bought it for just under $1.40. In fact, my bowls were purchased from the Dollar Tree, except one. The metal bowls were a buck in change and my real cheap plastic bowls were under a $1.00. The porcelain bowl was purchased at a thrift shop for just under $3.00. Every bowl I purchased were not shave bowls. Personally, I don't find the need to buy expensive shave bowls. However, I do own 2 very expensive custom straights. Lol!
