Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! My Thanksgiving/Throwback Thursday shave was a success. A minute at the Loading Dock as the Bill Neumann Heartwood soap jumped onto the Stoylin brush. Fine paint job to set up for the shave. Clean and Clear all over. No damage.2 passes. The skin-food persuasion of the BN really went to work for me. Finished up with the Heartwood A.S. Equally well-done. More BN skin-food. As Outstanding As Ot Gets.

I badly needed a head and face shave so I went with the Fatboy. I used the Voskhod blade to shave my face, but switched it to a fresh Zorrik blade for my headshave. I didn't want to chance using a 7th use Voskhod blade on a 5 day head Growth, hence the tossing out that blade and loading a new Zorrik blade.
Three passes on the face and three on the dome with minor touchups gave me BBS results without any red leakage.
I decided to go with the CC 45th cream because it lathers easily and it is quite slick with some residential slickness. Here's my lather:



I had minimal alum feedback on my neck and on the dome. Splashed the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this shave. Take care.

Today’s shave was the most challenging in the hardware department I may have ever encountered. The reasoning for the 3.5 rating.

After my first pass with the Schick Type J injector I made the decision to call the bullpen for a new blade. The binned blade just did not feel right on the face and did not remove much.
The subsequent two passes with the new Personna blade did not fair much better, leaving some scruffiness in all areas.

I decided to can in the Edwin Diaz of the SE razors: The MMBT. (To the sound of the trumpets)


The end result courtesy of the MMBT was an extremely close shave.
