A wonderful fall shave this morning with the Declaration Grooming Darkfall. I selected the Gillette feather razor with the Gem Stainless blade. The synthetic brush whipped up a nice slick lather as is the norm for any of the Declaration Grooming soaps in the den.

An error three past shave resulted in super smoothness Accompanied by the delightful scent of autumn’s falling leaves. The scent profile for this software is as follows: “Darkfall is a spicy oriental designed to capture the spirit of fall in the rural south. Agarwood, amber, and benzoin provide a deep, warm base for the cinnamon and clove top notes. Birch tar adds a slight smokiness that represents the ever-present smell of burning leaves that heralds the arrival of fall in Georgia.”

I have to be up by 4 AM because I am working for the Board of Elections and I need to be at my assignment at 5.00 am. Therefore, I shaved tonight because that's one less thing to worry about as I head out tomorrow morning. It's a 17 hour day and I have never done more than 12 hours in one day and that was in my mid 20's.

Anyway, I went with my Parker SRS for this shave. This is the stainless steel version so it's heavier than my other one with the resin handle. Did three error-free passes for a BBS result. It truly was an enjoyable shave. Went with the Seaforth Sea Spice Lime. It really is such a wonderful soap. It produces a slick and wonderful lather. The scent is great, but it is mild. Here's my lather:



The alum was silent. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this shave. Obviously, there will not be a shave tomorrow, but will do a head and face shave on Wednesday. Take care.

That Parker almost has a Gillette look about it, almost

We last had a proper Guy Fawkes as a kid back in S Africa. Banned in N Zealand when we were there, risk of fires (go figure it's always wet there). Many burns and hand injuries. We loved scouring the neighbourhood the next day for the left over rockets and things that had not gone off.

The rules are different here in Oz, different for each State, but there are regular 'controlled' fireworks at other times of the year. Nuts if you ask me

Same setup again (!) but with
Blade = Kai (4) holding up pretty good
Let's see if I can scrape another shave out of this blade
Passes = 2 and buffing
Damage = none

Alum was basically silent, another smooth shave
Well this could get boring…

Can’t say there is much to comment on other than less ATG was needed although I did manage some with the left hand on the left side of the face

Same ASL and scent

Hmmm: Let’s see if I can keep going with this

Thank you, Chris. The Parker 87R is based on the Gillette Rocket...Our fireworks laws and regulations are as follows
There are four exceptions to the 11pm curfew:
'controlled' fireworks displays.
You must let your fireworks off in your own garden or on land you have permission to fire from. It is illegal to let fireworks off in a public place, such as in the street or a park.

Bonfire Night itself (November 5th): Not after midnight.
New Year’s Eve (December 31st): Not after 1am.
Diwali (varies, 2023 date is 12th November*): Not after 1am.
Chinese New Year (varies, 24/25 date is 10th February*): Not after 1am.
Note: These curfews also apply to professionally fired shows....In Scotland you must not let fireworks off before 6pm either.

To be honest, I now find fireworks monotonous, after a seeing one display they all blend into one, however, the kids loves them. I do feel sorry for Animals when these events occur, it totally sends them into a blind panic of stress.

Yes the Edmund Fitzgerald is calling for the Busta’s Blend. If I dedicate my remaining weekday shaves the EF will pull into port to collect its newest edition to the depths of the sea by Friday. I really do not see that happening, therefore next Tuesday or Wednesday the latest.

Another fine lather and super close shave. The soap paired nicely with the Bay Rum aftershave. The missus is home today as the schools are closed for the National Election Day. As a result I received the SOA this morning.
