It is in my records that they are to use a "Butterfly" to draw my blood. She used a thing with the needle that they plug in the tubes to hold the blood. She drew 3 of them so, it moved around and made me black & blue where she did it. It also hurt but, I didn't give her the satisfaction of knowing that she did. "Nurse Lurch"!

Some people use their power over you to vent their anger at you! NOT right! Last time, she missed the vein on purpose and said, "Oh, oops! Sorry" with HEAVY sarcasm just to let me know it was on purpose! I was badly bruised after that one and it felt like a 10 penny nail was driven in! I will not let her draw again! In the 15 years I been going there, she never hurt me until the COVID craze and I refused shots!

Tatara Nodachi open comb with Masamune top cap.
    Astra SP (2).
    Yaqi two band badger brush.
    Tabac shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger.

Awesome shave this morning. The Nodachi with the Masamune top cap is an efficient and smooth machine. The Tataras are just impressive razors and are definitely top shelf material. I admit they are a little pricy but worth every penny.

    Happy Thursday everyone!

Excellent shave and setup Danny. There's nothing wrong with having premier razors.

Because I heard the sound of my razor hitting a "speedbump".

Very good Throwback shave this morning. Someone here complimented the lathering strength of OSP soaps, and I agree, as it really covered me face and neck well. Course the Stoylin Bath Soap mighta had something to do with it(Sandpiper). It appeared I had a cut DURING the shave, but it evaporated due to the cold-water rinse and AFTERshave. North Porcupine needed a little extra work to get all he whiskers off. South was fine. Nice work down at Cactus Nation. Regarding the aftershave, I don't see it as a "dupe" of Shulton's masterpieces. It's been ages since I last used the old-school kind. Maybe I'll go for the Hawkridge-my favorite of the New Spice aftershaves. But the "Classique" is fine for now. Smells KINDA like Shulton. Anyway....Most Excellent.

I got brave today and used the Hawkv3 open comb plate with a Feather Professional blade. I normally use a mild blade. It was not too bad!

Razor - Hawk v3 with Open Comb plate
    Blade - Feather Professional (4)
    Pre-shave - Proraso RED
    Soap - Leviathan
    Brush - Classic Shaving synthetic
Post-shave - Thayers Toner with witch hazel (unscented) & Leviathan Balm
    After-shave - Leviathan

I showered and warmed the Scupper mug and brush with HOT water while I was in. The Leviathan is a nice shave and the first thing I smell is the tobacco. I was brave and for my first time, I used a Professional blade in the Hawk open comb. I didn't do too bad. I did a 2-pass shave and got nice and close. WTG & ATG with no cleanup. I also did the top of my head but used my Gillette 1954 SS Flaretip. I ain't brave enuff to do with the Hawk open comb. I did get 3 nicks. Two on my neck and one on my chin. The alum bar took care of them. I did get minor feedback from the alum bar so, not as bad as I have before with this setup using a mild blade. It had been a while since I have used the Hawk so, I have slipped a bit with the technique using it. The balm is pleasant and so is the AS. I have to run to the bank and pick up 3 prescriptions so, I am ready for the world!

Theo didn't come into the bathroom but, stayed in the bedroom and jumped onto the bed and lay on his blankie. LOL

I hope all have a pleasant shave today!

I was 20 when One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was released and was very attracted to Louise Fletcher. I found out she was 20 yrs older than me, but I didn't care. I am a sucker for nurses in uniform. Lol!

Thank you, Gary...My summaries are just babbling thoughts at their best, no flare in the slightest! I have a memory like a goldfish most of the time...Take care of yourself, and try not to ponder on things, and give the adorable Theodore a stroke for me. Yours-Barry. :happy088:
