I'd have to saay the same about my Neumanns. The aftershaves will probably run out long before the soaps, which will force me to dive into some more $$$$..

I figured out and now have the sheet music all formated and printed out for a new song for me that a guy I used to play with used to do. It is one called "Precious Jewel"
It is a very nice old country song.

"Way back in the hills when a boy I once wandered
Buried deep in her grave lies a girl that I love.
She was called from this earth, a jewel for Heaven,
More precious that diamonds, more precious than gold."

Razor: J R Torrey The Artist
Brush: Leo Frilot ECWS 2018 Ghost Trails
    Lather: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux 1904
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
A lot going on the past few days. However, I did have time to finish the restoration of the JR Torrey blade. I had a nice shave with it but I think it could be better. Therefore, I will give it a run on the lapping paper in the next few days.

Hope you all had a great day gentlemen.

    Joe,

Very nice bowl! I have not seen one like that.

I just recently tried a few bowl lather shaves and used a Dirty Bird Pottery shave bowl that had a swirl in it. The lather came out nicely.

    Gary,

That is very nice! I am not sure I could do more than one shave in 24 hours no matter what I did (ha ha).
I really do not notice much difference in the shave using the cold water and it is more convenient. I think I am going to keep doing it for a while.

    Thanks!

    Gary,

That sounds like a great time with music! I occasionally try hammer-ons on bass but it takes a lot more effort than doing it on my other guitars (ha ha).

Thanks David. I bought the 2 metal bowls at my local Dollar Tree store over a year ago. I don't remember the exact price, but I believe they were under $1.30 a piece. I definitely know they were under $1.50 a piece.

    (Face & Head Shave.)

    Greetings,
Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...I have carried on for with my blade focus using the Gillette Super Blue in comparison with the Gillette London Bridge the Verdict? IMHO, I find both blades pretty much equal in both smoothness and efficiency.

The only thing that initially puts shaving xenophobic thoughts in my mind each time i shave with the Gillette Super Blue is the sinister looking image on the cover which looks like the illegitimate love child of Bela Lugosi with a mustache...Besides that, everything is tip top about them.

The mild efficient Gillette Guard performed wonderfully mowing through my head/dome stubble with ease...The pivot design is a great bonus for head shaving. What I like about it is the wide gap open comb head so there is no clogging whatsoever it's super safe for head/dome shaving. The overall finish is DFS and comfortably smooth with no irritation or cuts. If only the handle had more weight, it would be perfect.

The recently purchased Omega 10066 boar brush is becoming one of my favourite boar brushes. I personally find the knot size is perfect for me and is good for both face & bowl lathering its tips are softening with each shave and has plenty of backbone.
I still enjoy using my Semogue boar brushes the knots are denser than the ones fitted in the Omega brushes and the handles are far superior to the Omega ones my favourite is fitted on the Semogue 830, I'm not making myself out to be a connoisseur in Boar shaving brushes, but I still prefer Omega boar brushes. As aways YMMV.

My new Christmas present want list to the big fella with the white beard will now consist of the following.

    1. The Omega 11137 boar brush which is near the same knot size as the 10066, the only difference is 1mm and the larger Ash wood handle which will be a great addition to my humble boar brush collection after my re-kindled love for them due to the recent purchase of the Omega 10066.

    2. A new batch of Schick II twin injector blades for my Schick I1 Injector 1955-58 the smoothness efficiency, & longevity of these blades is astoundingly good.

    3. A refill puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap to keep as a spare.

    4. A bottle of Brut Attraction Totale or Sport style ASL and a bottle of P&G old Spice Original ASL, all of which I adore.

Not the most elaborate Christmas present list for myself but a one that will give me lots of joy & pleasure.

A close comfortable face & head shave with errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Oud 24 Hours EDP to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Great shave this morning from Stoylin Ramblin Man(soap and A.S.). Ramblin' Man, I believe, is a Creed dupe but I forget which Creed. A reviewer on Doc Ezlovan's website thought it was a cross between barbershop and a sharp dressed man. It looked like I had a couple Knicks at the first pass...to sharp to be Polka-dots. I do need to go easy especially in the areas that get them the most(Porcupine Alley and sometimes the neck area-Cactus Nation). As I look in the mirror, I see them reduced to polka-dots. 2 each at North and South Porcupine. My goal is for that not to happen tomorrow. Elsewhere, nice and soft at the cheeks&sideburns, and very nicely done at Cactus. 2 passes. Very Excellent today, just not excellent enough.
