    29 OCTOBER 2024

    2 days growth

Old OC Made in Canada new type razor. 54 grams, part of a deceased estate bundle. Scruffy, well used, I like the handle. Not keen on the cap, a few minor bent teeth, but hey! It works fine
    Vintage Schick Blade (1)
Puro Tasso brush, nice splayer, still working well, my first shave brush

Usual Prep with Faulding’s South Australian Shave cream
White lather bowl, I seem to get less bubbles with a smooth bowl than when I use the Timeless bowl

    Sterling Bay Rum soap
    Alum, Thayers’, Nivea balm etc
    Sterling Bay Rum ASL

2 passes and liberal cleanups. Funky shave with this old razor. Will need to try and figure out how old this one is…

Have a great Tuesday one and all

Great shave this morning.....Stoylin's Oud Sigma is becoming a favorite. 0:40 at the Loading Dock(I didn't need the full minute). Clean and clear all over. 2 passes. AgadirMen(Oud Wood) A.S. came through again, as it always has, for me. I used to wish Agadir would come out with a shave soap, but I'm happy enough now with Stoylin's Oud Sigma-don't need the soap. No damage done. As Outstanding As It Gets.

If the razor gives a good shave, then the aesthetics shouldn't matter. I have vintage straights that aren't flawless, but they shave well. Besides, I appreciate their well worn look because it gives them a sort of charm.

I never looked at it that way, but that perspective goes with your automotive background.
