Thanks 90% comes from the internet using Badger and Blade to see some stuff made in X era as some got the items direct from a relative who lived through the era and knows how hard up people were for some toiletries even on the battlefield during WWII using as little of the metal, then others is looking at stuff on e-bay not for the dates but for the different varieties during said era of shaver to confirm that Yes an all plastic Tech was made in the USA it was not another country like Australia who was making the shaver for their people, other countries in Europe before over run with limited resources, and was not a USSR or Easter Bloc model they made under patent Like how the Bakelite models were made as clones of the Tech but with a different name Star even possibly a later Chinese clone from the 1940's that made the model based on a stop gap when the Gillette brand not allowed to be made in China until the 1970's similar to the Chinese crappy Yuma model clones because at one point China after splitting from the USSR could only get Chinese items until Companies started manufacturing in China.

The book I have on King C Gillette The Man and His Shaving Device by Russel Adams just helps place when the shavers got changed to Less and less metal even having a plan for all plastic if need be that Gillette was using in later half of 1945 confirmed in the book ever so brief as the book focus is mainly on the blades/lawsuits to protect the patents seeing as how that was most of Gillette's money was in the disposable blades even as people in both the 1930's depressions and WWII stropping or honing the blades with devices like the Twin Stropper, the spinning honing devices, or even a smooth glass bottle/using a wet-stone as most blades were thicker blued steel with the edge exposed steel not the Stainless Steel/Rustless Steel ones made by most brands after 1960 when almost all of better/bigger brands figured out how to mass produce a blade Stainless Steel blade sharp enough to shave with that does not have issues.

Another great one, although it's a bit of a nuisance to go with a soap puck only(that is,different from the way artisans like Doc Ezlovan have it). Still, was quite pleased. Imperial does have the kind I was referring to, and I'll be more careful and order that kind next time. I'm so impressed at how the soap foams up so nicely as the brush attacks it. Only 0:40-0:50 is needed for the first pass. I feel like doing an Imperial video in the form of Rise TV ads, saying "If only 0:40 is needed per pass for the soap puck itself, imagine what I can get from 0:40 of the TALLOW version!". Anyway, 2 healthy passes. No damage. Nice close from the Clubman Special Reserve A.S. Super Duper Outstanding.

Today's shave was a 10/10 at 9;20 am central USA time using dial 6 for my shave today again as a great shave with no need to go up 1 number on the dial. Today was shave 8 on the bottom, 27 in total with the Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017.

I used as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

I shaved after the shower so none of home-made shaving lotion/soap combo from the hotel squeeze lotion bottle for shaving today or water on the face, but I did keep the blade wet as needed.

The blade was still on day 5 smoother because this bottom side got stropped more due to not having the blade all the way into the Twin Stropper during that stropping with the first 10--12 turns of the handle where the blade only spun about every 3 shaves in this period before I took the blade out and put it in all the way. I think if I use my King C Gillette blades that are made in China, I will strop the blade before using the blades with the Twin Stropper device to remove that micro burr left on by the manufacturing process.

October 14 SOTA Head and Face

    Good evening.

    Mühle R102
    Zorrik DE Blade (fresh, 2)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
Captain's Choice North SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 5 Days
    Dome Turf: 12 Days

    20251014_151556.jpg

Did a 2 passer on my face and dome, but needed pickups on the dome for an error-free BBS result. I picked the Mühle R102 and loaded it with a fresh blade because of the amount of growth that needed to be taken down, especially the dome. Before I lathered my face and dome, I decided to wash those areas with regular soap and water. I usually don't do this before I shave, but I figured why not change my routine. Anyway, I made sure I made a nice creamy and slick lather off the puck. Captain's Choice loves water so it's best to add a little water at a time to get the best results.
The alum feedback was minimal. Finished with the witch hazel and matching aftershave. I don't look gruff any longer. Take care.

Not really I have with from oldest to newest previous shaving I got about 30--35 shaves from my Mach III or replacement for loosing original, a Mach III Electric in 2005 I just used dead batteries in to keep the weight right due to vibrating too much in a side to side motion so the shaver never cut right. I only found my Mach III original slide on clip in blade style in 2009--2010 as the Mach III was being replaced by a Mach 3 Disposable that the disposable version replaced by a Sensor 3 more recently due to how nobody was buying the disposable because of the Mach 3 being around since 2015.

I then used in 2009 or so when Mach III blades became hard to find, a Wilkinson/Gillette brand disposable blue 2 blade shavers that gave 60 days shaves, then 30 shaves due to the blades getting closer together before getting less shaves due to the blades having a jagged edge on some. At this point in 2010's I moved to Persona Twin a 2 blade that gave a good shave for about 30--40 days and was easier to clean until the brand moved to a blade edge I was getting if lucky 14 days of shaving from in 2017 not to mention in stores the disposable became very hard to find in bigger quantities in 2017.

2017 was when seeing the who could make the worst blade design for modern shaves like the recently released 7 blade Dorco, the Gillette Fusion Pro, and Bic flex disposable, made me want to move to the new for Hipster Safe-T-Shavers looking for the then just becoming more common twist knob style because the fact I knew at times I needed to clean my shavers in the middle of the shave to just to keep shaving since middle school with the shaver I got in 2001. I used to push 60 days on blades then only 50 shaves max if lucky but now I only push 30--45 shaves depending on the blade and if I had with the bought in late 2017 Personna made in USA 100 pack is a dud. Sure some blades like the King C Gillette made in China I get if unlucky 24--25 shaves but up to 30 shaves with the blades but they are until I got those Chinses blades from FEIYU with the cheap on sale case from AliExpress for travel use, the worst quality control blades I have but can't really say much on the FEIYU blades.
