This is because I am finally getting used to shaving with the Gillette Adjustable 1960's edition when to go up in the dial and down one or two numbers on the dial after flipping the blade. I am also trying to not force the blade if I snag or feel pulling on a single long hair. Sorry, I was warning people to stay away from a toxic thread on Badger & Blade and had to explain why.
I think that scuttle for whipping up the lather was originally a lower mini style pour spout kraft for keeping the liquids warm where the top was missing in a thrift store.
Fair enough, doing a quick internet search it seems there a whole variety of those stroppers made way back then, that could just become another collector's rabbit hole Lol! Sheesh some of the prices! Here is a cool looking one German made 1920s allegedly AUD 170+ For that price I can get a few years worth of blades Exactly that's what I am finding, and the benefit of this thread, sticking with hardware and software combinations long enough for the technique to come Great fun, but I am thinking I need some changes
18 Oct 2025 2 Days growth Cream/Soap = TOBS OUD Brush = Simpson Chubby 2 Best Badger Razor = Executive 1959 E4 set to number 5, no need to go higher Blade = Henckels super platinum Chrome made in Germany unknown date Passes = 2 and done Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal ASB = TOBS Royal Forest ASL = Proraso Barbe Dure with Oud Scent = Red Musk This blade surprises me every time especially when compared to its lesser brothers. DE Shave # 613 - OUDtober Shave - Kilix Rating: 5 / 5 Razor: Muhle R41 Blade: Shark Platinum (5) Brush: JTSpartan Boar 24 mm Lather: Los Jabones de Joserra Kilix Aftershave: Los Jabones de Joserra Kilix Additional Care: Omega Alum Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm Fabulous shave this afternoon using a software that I have not reach for in many moths. It is a great soap with a refresh scent. The scent profile is as follows: “Bergamot and Cardamom leading in to an Iris, Heliotrope and Violet heart all settling on a base of Cedar Wood, Sandalwood, Amber, Oud and Tonka Bean.” I reached for the Muhle R41 for today’s shave. This razor does not disappoint every time I reach for it. I was rewarded with a super smooth three pass shave without any mishaps or delayed weepers. I hope everyone has been well. I have been rather busy trying to g to keep up with a variety things that I have been challenged to post my shaves. I am surprised that Joe, @Trigger, has not sent out his Sicilian paisans to track me down. Hope you all have an enjoyable day.
very cool.these used to be really cheap not to long ago,for most folks these were novelty items..seams more interest has driven prices up..who woulda thunk that..
nothing missing from it thank you.it's as new in the 1940s..i think you need to do more experiencing than reading..

Sorry all the ones I have seen in Antiques Stores that look like this have a top/missing top either screw on.
Great minds on the muhle R41 Joe. My acquaintance with mine after a long hiatus of not using it has made me see how good of razor it is.
