Great Oudtober shave. I should have used the brush with a bit more force in the soap, and will do so tomorrow(course the brush will be different). But all was fine. I can see a little of the bottom of the Oud Sigma soap, but in this month that is to be expected. What a lovely Oud scent from Doc Ezlovan at Stoylin! No damage. 2 healthy passes. Fine close from Agadir "Cooling Tonic" aftershave. Super Duper Outstanding.

Thanks, todays shave was better than yesterday where I was on dial 6 before switching to 7, as that really was a thing I did not intend to do.

no,i have a 1920s canadian old type in a pocket set case.my oldest gillette i owned was a 1911 single ring, but i passed it along.it got traded along side some others for some rare british gillettes i wanted.:)

Getting a newer model for the 1911 is a good bang for the one model since the old pre slot style can barely fit a modern blade and would prefer a Treet model as people have had to modify a lower blade to use a modern blade without having to go buy the thicker Treet plain steel models. Most of the models made after WWI are better as most of the Gillette models can take modern style blades.

I keep forgetting you have a 1920's Gillette shaver.

A warning for lovers of FINE products..., boy, is there a price increase! They got into the $30 range. Great products, but be careful! (Course other artisans I like have also raised theirs, but I was shocked to see Fine on that list).

Today's shave was a 9.5/10 as I used dial 7 then 8 for my shave with single mini cut that heeled quickly next to where I cut myself yesterday. Today was shave 14 on the bottom, 33 in total with the blade from my Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017 and final shave with the FEIYU up next.

I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

I shaved after the shower but where I did keep the blade wet as needed. I did like most days a partial clean in middle of shave to keep going.

The blade was still on day 14 smoother because this bottom side got stropped more due to not having the blade all the way into the Twin Stropper during that stropping with the first 10--12 turns of the handle where the blade only spun about every 3 shaves in this period before I took the blade out and put it in all the way. I think if I use my King C Gillette blades that are made in China, I will strop the blade before ever using the blade with the Twin Stropper device to remove that micro burr left on by the manufacturing process.

Thanks, I am using one of the FEIYU blades next up after 33 shaves, my blade was dull enough it was having me blead due to the blade itself ripping hairs out. I put the FEIYU blade in for the shaver, to use with no stropping before use as blade looked as good as the Chinese King C Gilette blade only no micro burr if looking up close and I will not strop period unless after initial few shaves I find I need to strop the blade to fix the jagged issue.

    Good evening.

Assured for Men/ Dollar Tree Razor
Gillette 7 o'clock Super Stainless DE Blade (fresh)
    JTSpartan Synthetic Brush
    Tabac SK
    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Beard Growth: 2.16 Days

    20251021_155731.jpg

Did an error-free 2 pass shave with my $1.39 Razor. The result was a very close and comfortable shave. I went with the Tabac shave stick and the Aqua Velva aftershave because I am going to a place that is fragrance free later this evening so this setup's sillage doesn't last very long. Besides the Tabac lathers quite easily and is very slick. I had very little alum feedback. Applied the witch hazel and the AV aftershave. There wasn't any stinging or burning sensations. Take care.
