    Sample Sterling Satsum Soap
    , Slim I4, Semogue brush, Schick Blade (2)

    1 Days growth

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream
    Cream/Soap = Sterling Satsuma
    Brush = Semogue Owners club
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Slim I4 @ 5
    Blade = Vintage Schick Ultra Platinium (2)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    ASL = Fine Latigo, felt like something stronger today
    Scent = Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud
    Score = 9 / 10
    Damage = No blood but the Alum was loud and clear

    The Schick blade still felt smooth, but seemed more sharp today than in the 37C yesterday, combination of only one day growth and the Slim @5 I guess

    Good overall result, very pleased

    Hope you all had a great Sunday

    Superb Barry, nice to see a different SE in your line-up, is the G type one of the smoother less aggressive ones?

    That Oud looks very classy, and of course you can't go wrong with the Clubman Pinaud

    Back with the Proraso double-header of shaving foam and A.S.(Both "Refereshing). Very well-done. No cuts, one Knick, no Polka-dots. Even though it has a cool feel to it, I think I'll keep it year-round, as I don't have a "coarse" beard(which the red one helps)and it isn't sensitive(which the white one helps). But for the Knick, clean and clear all around. It's a great foam, One pass. The A.S. was a nice finish. Most Outstanding.

    Thank you,Chris. I have two Schick Injectors the G type and the I1. Out of the two the G type is the less aggressive . The Schick I1 Injector. 1955-58 fitted with Schick Japanese Twin blades make a wonderfully smooth combination.However, both wonderful vintage shaving tools, especially for head shaving. The Oud EdP pairs superbly with the Clubman pinaud.

    Terrific shave Chris. Have you tried the Slim on setting 9 or is that too much aggressiveness for you?

    I have both the I-1 and the G-3. Both razors are not aggressive, but I think my G-3 is a tad more aggressive. I could be wrong so I will have to do a comparison shave to see if I am right or wrong. Of course, I will have to use the same brand of Injector blades. Unfortunately, this experiment will not take place for some time because I have to use up the blades in those injectors.

    I haven't used Artie in months so he got the call this afternoon. Three passes for an error-free close and comfortable shave. In keeping with Samples September, I brought out the Lather Bros. Calle Ocho shave soap. I also picked out the TSD Irish Spring AS because it is compatible with the soap's scent. I think so anyway.
    Thanks @JACarbone for piffing me this sample. The soap makes a creamy lather as you can see below:

    I had minimal alum feedback. Finished the shave with the witch hazel and the aftershave. Take care.
