Super Shave Chris. T and H is a little above my budget so I can't make a comment on the brands performance, etc.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. However, I still like the feel of my boar/natural hair brushes especially with my head shaves.

A great Throwback Thursday shave. 0:50 at the Loading Dock for the Crown King brush. Boy, that Stoylin Spice was thirsty! It appeared that some spots along the upper perimeter of the puck were drying out. Good paint job everywhere to set up the shave. 3 Polka-dots showed up at North Porcupine(under the nose). There's just a fraction of one left now. Clean and clear most everywhere else. I could have done better along sections of North Cactus Nation, hopefully will tomorrow. 2 passes. The SAtoylin Spice A.S. produced a lot of tingle, showing that it was doing its job. That would probably feel better in wintertime than now. Closed out again with Halston 4 Men cologne. Super Duper Outstanding.

they are cool razors,a bit farm impliment like, but the feather blades that fit them are high quality, giving consistenly nice shaves.brits of the day so i heard used and trusted them more than the gillettes, work horse razors..thicker,stroppable blades also..:)they are easily found on ebay.uk.,just add "british valet razor"in search.decent prices.always look for nickel plate and and the most complete one with a short bakelite case.:):eatdrink047:make sure the blade rest tabs are present.the good ones have the short fluted handle.

    Razor: Thistle 5/8”
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Palmolive Classic Stick
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Two great shaves the past two days. The Proraso lather never disappoints. Great way to end up a visit to the Southern den.

The morning I needed a quick and efficient shave. For efficiency, I choose the Palmolive shave stick which eliminates the bowl lathering process. I had to get out the door to take my mother shopping.

I hope you all have had a great day.

Thanks Joe, I bought this and some TOBS croaps at the beginning of my wet shaving journey, because they were available locally. I will continue to use them but likely won't replace them. They work OK with synthetics, better with less aggressive razors. Some of the scents are nice. We just don't have the choice locally for shaving soaps that there are in the EU and the USA.

    Good info, thanks Gary

    Thanks Gary

    Two great travel shaves

Today's shave not as good as recent ones, but I wouldn't put it in the "Mediocre" category. Two jawline problems, each on opposite sides. A big cut on the left, and a miss on the right. I just now washed off the cut-hope that will take care of THAT, and did a "mini-shave" to take care of the miss. The cut was in the form of a short line-scary to look at before I went to work on it. Just a careless "speedbump" at the end of shaving that area. Clean and clear everywhere else. 2 passes. Before the second pass, I did some more loading. In some of the videos I see, the guy loads more soap onto the brush before his 2nd pass. Course they do it faster than me. Nice work with the Stoylin Spice A.S. No cologne today. A Little Bit Outstanding.

I definitely needed a shave this morning so I picked one of my Aust razors and my Mühle R102 to attack my facial and cranial Growth, respectively. Three error-free passes all around for a wonderful shave. I went with the Soap Commander Honor soap because it is slick even with a thin lather that I made for this shave. Unfortunately, I was so into the shave that I neglected to photo my lather. Sorry guys. I had some alum feedback on my head and neck, but it wasn't intolerable. Finished the shave with the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave application. Take care.
