    This was about the same shave as yesterday.....great job at the Loading Dock, clean and clea most everywhere except more issues at both ends of Porcupine(in the form of Knicks-3). 2 passes. The Proraso A.S. neutralized the 3, as well as gave the rest of my face and necka nice feel. I've been improving down at Cactus Nation lately. Pretty Outsanding.

    (29th was a Scruffy Sunday, Stay at home/chores day)

    30 Sep 2024
    SE razor, Sterling Sample soap MITA, Semogue brush

    30 Sep 2024 1800 90-1.jpg

    2 Days growth

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream
    Cream/Soap = Sterling MITA, menthol, but mildly so
    Brush = Semogue Owners club finest badger
    Bowl = Goodfellas Smile, blue
    Razor = GEM Micromatic OC
    Blade = GEM (day 1)
    Passes = 2 + clean ups
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    ASL = PR Rinfrescante
    Scent = Prada Ocean Luna Rossa
    Score = 9 / 10
    Damage = Minor weeper below the jawline left side, sad way to end the month but it cleared up spontaneously during the 2nd pass

    The fresh blade and the OC nature of the Micromatic were a force to reckon with. The razor felt heavier than it actually is, it’s only around 10g heavier than the G-bar, but almost double the weight of the Schick SE’s I currently have. Good clean shave but one gets a sense of not wanting to push things too far, so I left it as good enough at a 9 / 10

    I will park this razor back in the shed until a later date

    Great start to the week and great way to end the month

    I ran out of days to try out all the S’s of September….

    A good example of this-I'll have the same razor for my next two shaves-I always do just one pass with foam/cream shaves from a can. Course when I get back to soaps, it's decision time.

    I decided to forego shaving today because I want to start the new month with a head and face shave. I am leaning toward using my Mühle R102. I may use one of my TSD shave soaps or the PAA/ King R Emporium soap.
