1. The 3d printed RAPTOR SE is almost finished. I just need to tweak the tension lever a bit more.

  4. Yes, with the right thickness, they work really well. I really like the fuzzy catcher. I think I'm going to borrow the idea and incorporate it with my WeckGem.

  9. Some other items that I think would be suitable for 3D printing are things like replacement magazine blade holders for the Schick Repeater razors. Once I get a printer I might even take a stab at 3D printed repeating style razor.

  10. Here's a short clip I uploaded on YouTube showing how to load the blade on the 3d printed RAPTOR SE safety razor. STLs will be uploaded on Thingiverse soon.

  11. @SlimGem
    Raptor SE is nice.
I love the Rapide / Wotan style.
    Very clever design, as always.

  13. You're welcome.
The Raptor can use original wedges, as the lather catchers?

  14. No, but you just gave me an idea. :)

  15. I've been meaning to get this razor design finalized, but still, it remains in the early stages. For now, I'll call it a work-in-progress. This is an AC style razor with no guard. I figure if a feather artist straight can do the trick, then, so can this one. To load the blade, the head will pivot left or right of the handle, and the top and bottom plates will release the tension on the blade for easy loading and unloading. By offsetting the pivot point on one of the head plates,
the blade clamp will open about two millimeters when pivoting left or right. The handle will have an index point, and lock with tension when centered.

  19. Cool.
    Taipan sounds great.
BTW the head shape in the 2nd pic reminded me a snake.
