Interesting question. My latest diet (not the dieting kind, just regular eating) eliminates milk from cows. I don't have an issue with drinking milk, but have been told that we don't absorb the calcium as readily when we are older.

Wheat? What is this wheat that you speak of? Yep, it's been cut out of my diet too. I am much healthier now.

Getting your orange juice w/Calcium and Vitamin D helps daily absorption.

While I prefer unsweetened REGULAR almond milk, sometimes I have no choice but to get the VANILLA(see how popular REGULAR is?_

And, ironically, want nothing to do with milk from our own species.

That's where I'm at. Milk for me is only an ingredient in recipies these days. But I do still eat cheese. And I aint giving up sour cream, either!

Nowadays corn tortillas are my main source of calcium.

I have really cut back on the fast food latley and have lost almost 40 lbs the past few months. Feel a whole lot better and have more energy it seems. Been eating better and staying active as much as possible. Its really amazing how much better your quality of life can be just by changing what you eat.

Field greens, ad all green Veg, are a good calcium source too.

Most humans who consume human milk are infants. Funny how that works.

That's my point. :) Milk is a super food for growing infants. There's no actual need for adults to consume it.

Cheese and yogurt have already been digested and are easier on the system than milk.

If you'd wait one more hour on breakfast you'd be doing intermittent fasting.

Yep, I have four kids, all but one now adults, and they were breast fed. I don't criticize anyone's choice, but it kept my kids healthy and they grew like weeds.

Cutting out wheat or adding it? I find a lot of conflicting information, although most agree that it is best if it is not heavily processed.
