I had to make a run an hour up the road for my son’s guitar lesson, and afterwards stopped by a private gun/fishing/antique store. With the heavy emphasis on firearms, the antiques are priced very fairly. I picked up three DEs; a fat handle Tech (USA, triangle slots), a 40’s era Super Speed, and an unmarked three piece open comb that looks ancient. I’m in the process of researching it’s identity. None are close to minty, but they’re solid, with no cracks and all worthy of replating. Each was marked at $5 but they charged me $12 for the group. Stay tuned for the identity of the last one.
I quit posting photos when PB turned against it’s members. I haven’t found a new host yet. After some scrubbing, I confirmed it’s a Gillette. I’m pretty sure it’s a NEW short comb (1930’s ?) with what appears to be a factory gold finish.
I am using postimg.org for my pics these days. Simple and free. So far I have had no troubles with them.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check it out. I enjoy posts with photos about ten-fold over those without. I need to quit being “that guy.”
I downloaded an app for Android called "PhotoResizer". Very easy to choose a photo and resize to less than 1mb. Then upload them straight to here.
In Tapatalk there's an icon to add pics. On my desktop there's an option on the website. Just curious why you guys use a separate pic website/service? Herm
I downloaded Tapatalk but absolutely hated it. Got multiple forums posts coming through all over the joint, and it was giving me millions of notifications to my phone. I know I could probably set it up so it didn't do that, but I couldn't be bothered to work it out
