I'll add my two cents worth....that if you pay more than 2 cents for Williams (modern version) you got ripped off. Of course my two cents and $3 will buy you a cup of coffee . I definitely prefer VDH to Williams in the easy to find, inexpensive category. I also like Arko. The smell of Arko that bothers many doesn't bother me at all, while the smell of Williams makes me want to throw the puck as far as I can, except I don't believe in contaminating the environment with unknown chemical substances. As always, if it works for you then it's all good.
I wouldn't wish Bert's Bees shaving soap on any one. Their bar soap(bath soap) isn't great but it isn't bad either.
Williams shaving Soap is easier to find in my neck of the woods, than any of the Van der Hagen Shaving soaps. But I saw them both in the store yesterday with all of the Father's Day stuff and Graduation stuff.
Van Der Hagen Deluxe shaving soap has a light scent and is very good. Maybe that would also work? If I am not mistaken, The Shave Den Store also has unscented soap. Anyways, glad to hear you are getting food results with Williams!
