    I have noticed a rise in the number of those coping with Acquisition Disorders recently. The clinic is here to help.

    I think I can "calm down" for a while, so as to avoid A.D., but I'll make a decision on a good aftershave for this summer to back up my Skin-Bracer. Course the shipping for the Mennen will be free-as I will accompany the shipment home myself, in my car (yuk yuk yuk).

    (In all seriousness, I hope to one day not be needed. Realistically, I don't think that will happen. )

    I can see you are quite content with your current neurosis.

    Mine is a Focused Neurosis! I was a little scatter gun to begin. Common for a Newbie? Bought a RSO or three. Found several forums, got a lifetime Banination on one of them for "Having Opinions Not Consistent with a Moderator" about patchouli scented soap. Since then I've worked my way through;
    -SRAD ( currently own 17 straights, 4 usable & the others hopefully)
    -DERAD ( currently own 10 DE's, all fully functional with 5 PIFed to friends or traded for other kinds of gear)
    -SAD ( currently 14, with a couple PIFed away, and several reduced by sharing generous samples to friends)
    -ASAD ( similar numbers to above soaps)

    But only 4 brushes, 1 alum block, 1 OldSpice mug, 1 suribachi bowl, and one strop.

    After joining an officially sanctioned support group I've laid the DE's aside. I've only backslide once by loosing my focus on straights to my Fat Boy. I justify my decision in that my Lady Friend was visiting and I wanted to be best shaved for her.

    Lately I've been having feelings of HAD. I know this is related to my earlier SRAD. Owning so many Not Shave Ready straights while being Focused on straights has me wandering to another site to watch honing videos. I can't help myself! @gssixgun and his 4k/8k Norton is my new obsession. I'm afraid when I get that stone, then I'll want a 12k, then a 20k.
    I'm concerned that after I conquer my apprehension about honing that I may think about repairing DE's, or get SE Curious. (This is confidential, right? I traded a Fat Boy for a Ever Ready 1912. I was young and didn't know.)
    Can you help me Doc? I'm afraid the light at the other end of the tunnel is a Kickstarter Razor...

    I wouldn't worry about that, @Sara-s. It was Paul McCartney who sang "Some people want to fill the worrrrllld...with silly questions....what's wrong with that???(paraphrased from "Silly Love Songs".)

    The first step in treating any disorder is to want help. I don't.

    The first step is admitting you have a problem.
