I broke out a Schick adjustable injector, set it on 8 and got a superb shave.

Super close - a bit too close. Feeling just an ever so slight bit of razor burn.

Well, since I use a Futur 95 percent of the time, I'm in. Using a Futur on week 2 of an Astra blade all week.

 

gold futur(set to 3), feather blade with kent soap. I'm loving the kent soap at the moment loads of lather and quick to lather as well.

As I only have four adjustable razors, the Futur was back in the batter's box today.
Set at just a touch over 2.5, it delivered results that are still smooth seven hours later.

The Merkur Futur - a great razor.

 

I tend to put the black beauty between 7 and 9 because otherwise the shave is not as close as it should be

 

I've been using an adjustable since Wednesday. OK, it's my only adjustable, a G' Slim. I set it to 9 and leave it. I'm testing a Gillette Platinum blade. If the blade lasts it'll be in it until Sundays shave.

I always face lather since any other way doesn't feed my addiction. Today it was Arko with a Simpson Special Pure badger. Since it was cool in Maine this morning I finished the shave with my handcrafted bay rum. There will be more days for menthol, but today wasn't one of them.

First time using this Colgate soap, and it actually performed very well. Nice Saturday morning shave.

 

I didn't post it but Monday I used my Gillette Slim adjustable. Slammed to 9 except my atg pass on the 'stash, dialed it back to 3 for that part. Was an ok shave but I enjoy my 89 too much lately and it has made me spoiled so I went back to it for the rest of the week.

 

Well, it's been a fun week.

As most of you know, weekends are for my SEs - today, and every Saturday, I strop up a str8 and have at it. Sundays are for the more "traditional" single edge razors.

I've really enjoyed focusing on my adjustables this week. I've even learned a couple things.
The best part, though, was seeing the great toys you all got to play with! Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I have.

It's kinda strange, I had no idea Adjustable Week started on the 5th, but something on the 6th compelled me to pick up my Gillette Super Adjustable and start shaving with it for the first time in months. Is this forum controlling my mind?
