I used it this morning. Very nice! Slick, and no sting from the alum. I went back to the antique store and bought the other two pucks. The original price tag says "19¢".

 

You Sir are in for a bunch of great shaves. Yes blooming is soaking the cake of soap to soften it or some silly stuff like that. Doing things like that is a sure sign of a mental breakdown.....just saying.

Once the Williams has some moisture. In it from being used daily it does make some awesome shaving lather. The vintage version just explodes with thick creamy lather.

That's what I hope to achieve with my Burma Shave cake, once I get going with that.

 

Veddy easy to lather soap. You will like.
