I used it this morning. Very nice! Slick, and no sting from the alum. I went back to the antique store and bought the other two pucks. The original price tag says "19¢".
You Sir are in for a bunch of great shaves. Yes blooming is soaking the cake of soap to soften it or some silly stuff like that. Doing things like that is a sure sign of a mental breakdown.....just saying.
