All you need to finish that off is Soap Commander's Endurance balm which targets the original Old Spice scent.
Usually if I need a balm it will be unscented so it won't clash with whatever fragrance I will wear later. That is why I generally (but not always) stopped placing fragrances and balms in my photos because it is such a game time decision for me. I had a problem with Endurance soap which I had to work with quite a while to actually get it to smell like Old Spice. Lather performance wise, the Soap Commander works well. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/sos-november-24-2014-november-30-2014.41533/page-6#post-751325 http://theshaveden.com/forums/threa...14-december-21-2014.41916/page-22#post-762726 http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/sos-march-2-2015-march-8-2015.43610/page-8#post-798710 @Bobcat sent me a sample of the Respect and it smells to me like Palmolive stick. Great performing. Thanks Bob!
Gary, this is a great looking (and I'm sure great performing) brush! You do some beautiful work, and your photography ain't bad, either.
Agreed, the soap while a great performer is a little weak scent wise but the balm negates the need for a splash. The scent is robust with a little menthol kick.
Beautiful restore!! You say those amber "Old Spice" brush handles are rare? I have one, I always liked the way it looked and dreamed of having it restored one day, now I guess I'll definitely need to have it done.
Every now and then one pops up on eBay either stand alone or in a set, but they are not a common site.
I am very jealous Gary. I guess I should just pull the trigger on one. Those "OS Root Beer" handless on great. Well done!
That brush is gorgeous! Great job. The fact that it is an Old Spice brush just makes it better. Love Old Spice stuff.
