Announcing Travel Box 2012

The Box is here and it is heavy! It arrived safely thanks to Wimcad's expert packing, cushioning and taping - no leaks or spills, just pleasant scents. The box is in good shape so I plan to reuse it. I have gone through the top layer and it's obvious that our participants have put a lot of thought and creativity in selecting items for inclusion in the box. There's lots of good stuff in there. So far, though, I have not run across the mint Gillette Toggle that I will surely find before I get to the bottom of the box. I always expected to get a pony at Christmas, too.

Tonight I will continue my plundering and pillaging and will select the items I plan to keep keep. Tomorrow I will make photos of what I take and what I add, and send them out to you.

There should be no problem getting the box back in the mail tomorrow.
Jim - Thanks for suggesting we get together so I could physically hand the box to you in person. But considering Atlanta's traffic, the distance and the fact this is the 4th of July weekend it doesn't look like I can get down to Griffin this time. I do hope we can meet up some time in the future.

Dang if I had gotten in on this in time we could have met and got in I'm only 45 minutes from Alpharetta just outside of Marietta.

 

That is a shame. Maybe when the next travel box comes around. What community do you live in?

No problem, I avoid Atlanta traffic as much as possible myself and besides I figured it was a long shot that you would be down this way Yeah that would be great to meet up sometime, hopefully we can work it out. In the mean time I'm looking forward to getting the box

The Box is now on its way to Jim in Thomaston GA. The postal clerk I spoke with offered that The Box would be delivered to the addressee tomorrow
The delivery confirmation number is 03110240000011937417. I enjoyed sifting through all the interesting shave products. It's clear that all the contributors followed Brad's suggestion that we not add junk.

Just checked USPS site and it also says its due for delivery tomorrow I have to work, so hopefully it'll be waiting for me when I get home

Thanks for the correction on the Milord Razor. I like it a lot! I feel certain that one of our members will want the mug and Body Shop lotion.
If not I will be more than happy to keep them. The mug is nice and heavy and has an attractive patina. Also, the few Body Shop products I have tried I have enjoyed.

 

The lotion was in the original box when I received from Jeff. You guys have done a great job in keeping the box moving quickly along.
I will definitely send it on another Nationwide Tour, once it arrive back in Fort Smith.

 

Brad - I'm glad you're taking on the Travel Box for a second term. You have done a super job coordinating this one.

The box was waiting for me when I got home this evening You weren't kidding it is heavy. Anyway got stuff to take care of and then I'll be going through it later. I want to go ahead and dive in, but gotta keep SWMBO happy.

I wanted to include a lather bowl like mine, but there ain't no way it'll fit and make it one piece. so I'll probably pif it later on.
I could make room for the extras, but I hate to look greedy compared to what I'm adding.
