Helluva thing. Not enough blood for a knockout but I've gone two rounds with the heavyweight and I'd say it beats me on points.
Tom has done a fantastic job here, the operation is smooth and adjustment seems precise. Balance is pretty good. Geometry Tom indicates is per his Tom-X, which is to say proven.
Going north to south in my cheeks and neck it's ok, while yesterday I did manage a gouge there, more caution this morning resulted in no new weepers.
Where the razor is held at a different angle though its tendency to hurl itself toward the center of the Earth is quite strong, too strong for me, so head shaving takes extraordinary effort to keep the head from bouncing a fraction of a millimeter and drawing blood. Thus second shave this morning I skipped the ATG pass on the back of my head, did more strokes WTG and ended up with a very passable near BBS.
For me it's too heavy pure and simple. Letting the razor do its work isn't applicable given my head shaving routine. In aluminum or titanium this would be killer.
For the record I used BIC yesterday, Treet today. Setting I settled on was 3.5.
