I got and shaved with my R41 today. It's not what people say it is. It gave a nice shave but the ikon tech is a bit more aggressive to me. I'm kind of disappoint in it.
Remember there are actually three versions of the R41. The one made before 2011 was mild. The 2011 version is one of the most aggressive DE razors. The 2013 version that is sold now, toned the aggression down quite a bit. So if you state it is not what people say it is, you have to determine which version they have.
Yeah my bad. The 2013 is not IMHO that aggressive. I feel more of the blade with the tech. I thought I was shipped the wrong razor when I shaved with it. To me didn't feel much more that a 34c. I googled R41 heads just to make sure i didnt get the wrong razor or have it put together wrong.
Personally the older model FaTip Piccolo I have is more aggressive than the 2013 R41 I have, but I decided not to get a 2011 R41 because like the FaTip Piccolo, I would rarely, if ever, use it.
Damn, just realized that it was a small bur on the blade tab that got me, so we have to watch out for those things too!?!
