Most Japanese men use electric/dry shavers. Also, they don't shave after showering, which is different from wet shaving. If they use a cartridge razor, it's most likely a Schick. If you go to a barbershop, the barber (male or female) most likely uses a disposable straight razor. There are many Feather copycats that are very popular.

    Hi Exeter,
I do order my goodies online and I have to say that many of the fine vendors ship to APO/FPO Military addresses which is a godsend - so far only Nancy Boy doesn't but there are work-arounds and I should be getting my shipment if all goes well by the end of this week :D. But now on to your series of questions, shaving wise, it's Shicks, Gillettes and some no name disposables, lots of gels and stuff in the aerosal cans but so far nothing like what's available in the U.S. and Europe. Now when I go in for my monthly haircut, the shave lady preps me with plenty of hot towels and an orange smelling liquid/gel that gets applied and then another hot towel and then a BBS shave with what I'm assuming is either a straight or a shavette (99.9% of the time I'm out like a light, snorning enough to keep Godzilla away) it's the highlight of the haircut along with the massage and the coffee or tea at the end, but I digress! To be honest I haven't looked for any Feather Nanka gels/soaps (didn' even know they existed until you pointed them out), since most of my shaving needs were meet by the American stuff available on post that is until I discovered wetshavin' :D Now on the other hand if you're a lady you got a bajillion aisles of stuff, I think for the most part men's grooming stuff seems to be alot less than the varieties of gritty kitty cat liter - shigitty :( There are scents and hair products like Mandom, SeaBreeze, Tactics & Lucido, - my personal fave :D but for the most part you have to go to a barber/salon or a department store to get a better variety (I'm usually holding my wife's basket whilst in the supermarket). I can keep a lookout for you, but IMHO I think the really good stuff may be pretty expensive, and less than stellar compared to the variety, quality and price of what's available in the 'States and Europe!

FYI - here's a link to an article on Gillette trying to crack into the Japanese Market. http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/06/25/business/gillette.php

    Hi Martin,
Thanks I feel right at home here, thank you all for making me feel welcome. As far as being wired to asians, I hear where you're coming from. I'm attracted to those almond shaped eyes, and every gal I've dated in the past regardless of nationality had one thing in common, very asian-esque like eyes, mysterious, charming, different - it's the draw for me. It was my wife's eyes and her killer legs that did me in :D. I always remarked that if I had created Star Trek, the Vulcans & Romulans would've been played by asian actors - it's them eyes I tell ya!;)

Welcome The Chebb to TSD from Cologne, Germany. Taking a bath in "Eau de Cologne" can i see the spire of the Cologne Cathedral, drinking the beer "Koelsch", eating an "halven Hahn" (word by word translatet a "half chicken" but if you order it in a pub or a bar you will get a slab Gouda Cheese, a rye roll, strong mustard and onions ---- hmmmm great)

Oh yes, Japan is a white point on my globe, my world map.
    iam jealous too....

i think, iam bitten by the travel bug :D.
But... in september i will go to egypt for about 2 weeks. diving in red sea....

    Hi Dark,
It was real funny - Those episodes are on DVD collection called "The Lost Episodes" and they may have been made just for DVD for all I know, since the soap washing scenes had some topless gals running about - animated of course! The cover of the DVD is below FYI. Thanks for making me feel welcome as I'm havin' a blast! I did join the giveaway, hopefully I can share some of the potential winnings out here with some of my workmates!
    Cheers!
