When my husband goes to the range after work, he tells people "My wife is already at the range. I'm going to meter there."
Soon- I had to part with a lot of my hunting gear when I moved back east. I want to start my son (he's 7) out on archery this summer. Thinking of going traditional again, which will really teach him the art of shooting. If you learn on a traditional longbow or recurve bow, tricked out compound bows are almost ridiculously easy to shoot.
True, compond bows are much easier to shoot, which appeals to me. But I get why they don't appeal to everyone.
That's cool. I love the power of the compound bows, but I get the appeal of others too; they are more challenging.

Any archer knows what it means to Robin-Hood an arrow. But what about when you almost Robin-Hood one (e.g. when you shear off a nock)? A friend from my club calls that a "Little-John". I think the term may catch on.
