Good for you! It is great to get back into shooting. Can you post a picture of your bow?

What are these "meter" things of which you speak? :D

When my husband goes to the range after work, he tells people "My wife is already at the range. I'm going to meter there."

    3 ft 3 in 3/8. So eighteen meters equals 59ft 6/8in :)

    It's a Hoyt. 30lbs @ 28".

Used to do some traditional bow hunting for turkey when I lived in Oregon.

Do you still do any shooting (target or hunting)?

Soon- I had to part with a lot of my hunting gear when I moved back east. I want to start my son (he's 7) out on archery this summer. Thinking of going traditional again, which will really teach him the art of shooting.

If you learn on a traditional longbow or recurve bow, tricked out compound bows are almost ridiculously easy to shoot.

True, compond bows are much easier to shoot, which appeals to me. But I get why they don't appeal to everyone.

    I had a good day's shooting. I Robin-Hooded an arrow.

Don't get me wrong. I have owned and love compound bows as well. They are so smooth and powerful!

That's cool. I love the power of the compound bows, but I get the appeal of others too; they are more challenging.

Any archer knows what it means to Robin-Hood an arrow. But what about when you almost Robin-Hood one (e.g. when you shear off a nock)? A friend from my club calls that a "Little-John". I think the term may catch on.
