Today I started to learn how to use a trigger release. And I got 5 consecutive arrows to hit the target. In May, my husband & I are going bow-shopping.
I started in Archery in the mid 70's and continued to shoot and compete in a local league until the early 90's. I started with a Black Widow recurve and than a Hoyt and finally moved to a Hoyt competition compound. It's a great sport.
Yeah, it is! Today we had the Zeeland championship indoors. 10 x 3 arrows on 18 metres. I shot 247 points, good for a 6th place (in a field of about 20 competitors). For me that was great! I knew I didn't stand a chance to win, but that wasn't the purpose. I just enjoyed myself!
OH BOY - this is bad! I can feel my old bow feelings starting to surface - this is going to get expensive!
Yes Congrats Mike! That is what was going to say in my post above but them memories and feelings from back in my archery days took over.
Some years back we went with 6 from our archery club and ended on the last 6 places. We didn't have any less fun that day. It's all about attitude.
Looks to me like you're aiming to be serious about this. If the critters approve, you must've hit the mark. Personally, I'd be quivering in my shoes.
