My wife hasn't cooked in years. If I don't do the cooking, we have to eat out. Fortunately, I enjoy it and she enjoys the food I prepare for us. I realized recently most of the programs on our DVR are from the Food Network... so maybe that says something about us. LOL...
Shrimp Skillet - 2# shrimp 4T olive oil (3 for prep / 1 for cooking) 5 cloves garlic (minced) 2T oregano 1 lemon (zest and juice) M onion (sliced thin) R and O bellpepper (sliced thin) 4 tomatoes diced 1) Marinate shrimp, oil, garlic, oregano for 15 min 2) Saute oil, onions, and BP until onions translucent (medium heat) 3) Add shrimp mixture (medium high heat) 4) Add tomatoes until heated throughout mix 5) Serve
I am passionate about cooking. I've been doing it since I was about twelve and cook most nights. Now I see that I have to try charcuterie.
Remind your coworkers that most professional chefs are men. Then tell them that grown up men should know how to cook if they expect to eat. The next time you bring in a gourmet, home cooked lunch just let them see what they're missing.
