So from my list of currently available razors I have used my 1968 SS throughout the closeness settings as well as my Welhm Maassen (?) OC travel razor with my Dorco ST-301 review. While it has been a comfortable nick free and razorburn free shave, it hasn't been BBS. I will continue to test out new blades on the razors I have available until I do. If I can not then I will have so say that maybe for me this razor just doesn't shave close enough for my Monday trough Friday needs. They would work on the days I need an acceptable shave and want to give my skin a break. So, any recommendations as to which razor would be a step up in aggressiveness ? Maybe one of my open comb single ring or the Shick Krona ?
I was going to use my Krona this morning as well. Then I thought I would give 1971 Gillette Black Beauty a shot. Same results. Cut and nick free, no irritation. Just not as close as I would like. Even set to 9 all three passes with touch up. My last hope is that these blades perform closer in a heavier open comb razor.
I got my order the other day and maybe I got old stock. The blades came in a "super speed"-type dispenser and had no markings on them other than arrows. In any case, I took a blade for a spin this morning and I was pleased. The blade was sharp and smooth. I'd rate it a hair under my beloved Astra SPs, thus far.
In Korea, no doobies but I am sure copious amount of soju were involved. Nobody real knows soju is made from but it is similar to saki and is sold for about $2 for a 500 ml bottle. It is about 20-30% alcohol by volume. I checked the Korean version of Facebook for Dorco in Korea and found some pictures from the marketing brainstorming session they had to name the new razor blade. I thought you would enjoy them. Now you know how Dorco comes up with such awesome creatives and names.
That sounds strange. I couldn't see that type for sale on there website. Maybe it is a barber type? I have came across a few brands in the same type of dispensers and only arrows printed on the blade. I cam to the conclusion they must be for professionals who don't need the frills of a fancy package or container. With my personna from sallys I had great luck. My personna Israeli reds, not so much. they came straight from the company so are probably the real deal. PM me and I will send you 5 blade tuck in the retail package to compare the two. Have you tried the ST -300 ?
