I wondered when you'd notice the computer name. It's not like I could send it into the world with some boring name like "Neal-PC".
04/29/2016 AlumiGoose with Hempel Ti Feather Pro (7) Elite Razor “Tres Amigos” Ironwood Beehive with Envy White Proraso Green Witch Hazel Myrsol Formula K Whipped Shea Butter Happy Friday. A very good shave this morning. Like yesterday I went with a 3 pass shave and chased the baby. Luckily I got the BBS with no irritation, nicks or weepers. Only my second time using Proraso Green soap. The soap was stupid easy to lather and the cooling was nice on a warm morning. I will say it's not as slick as my top tier soaps. Also it leaves the razor with a nasty white film after rinsing. I finished off with a splash of Myrsol Formula K from the sample pack. I hope everyone has a great Friday.
SOTD April 29, 2016 Russian blades focus Prep: Warm shower Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (2) Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb Brush: Vulfix 2006C badger Lather: Arko Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Pinaud Clubman, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Pretty good shave again this morning. No nicks, weepers, or irritation. The Vulfix brush whipped up some amazing Arko lather. I've been using Arko since Tuesday and have gotten better and better lathers each day. It needs a good amount of water and the tips of the brush need more dips in the water than with other soaps I have. Arko works quite well. My skin does feel a good bit dry at the end of the shave however. But, with Arko's price, you can't have it all! It's still a good soap. Today was my first use of Clubman! I like it! It stung a good bit going on, even when mixed with the witch hazel. The scent is nice and masculine. I've smelled Clubman before I think - it reminds me of the men in church on Sundays when I was growing up. I'm pretty sure some of them had to have used Clubman. Perhaps even my dad wore it, but I'm not sure. I'll ask him. In any event, pretty good shave with one pass and generous touch-up. Have a great FRIDAY everyone!
Unfortunately Proraso does leave a film, but the easy performance and good price point can help me overlook that. I use Proraso Green a good bit for Menthol Mondays. I've used White and Red too, both with good results.
I got this as an add on to get to free shipping level on a order. I agree it is really easy to use and I won't throw it out over the film. Pretty sure it will not make my buy again list.

I commented on this in the SOTD thread too, but I'll say it here as well - stunning, beautiful photo!
I'll post my shave this evening, but for now I wanted to leave this here. A very important day today. Thank you for your support.
Tomorrow's shave is Arko, Derby, Gillette Tech, and the Veg. That's the way to close out April! I didn't do Arko April strictly but did use it a good bit, including most of this week. The Derby blade is scaring me a little though.
Soap Focus Coming to the end of a month of soaps. Today's soap was a good performer. Since I'm doing a straight focus next month, I needed to get this razor into the rotation. I've had it for over a month and hadn't tried it out yet. I can see why @PLANofMAN sings the MonoBilt's praises. This is one fine razor. It rivaled the Stahly I've been using for the last few days. Another two pass BBS with almost no touch up. It's been a good week SOTD Mike's Natural Soap Rubberset 400 Cooper MonoBilt Feather blade Alum Thayers Witch Hazel Pinaud Musk AS Happy Friday!
I am going to use my G type injector today as a recreation of my first SE safety razor shave. Schick type G1 Schick blade (2) Arko Semogue 1438 Nivea Sensitive Pinaud Clubman Should be fun.
